Who She Was
Her Story
Kelsey Michele Wallace, affectionately known as “Bella” or KelBell” to many, was born on February 2, 1991, to Phyllis Ann Thompson-Green, of Shelbyville, TN, and George Tyrone Hudspeth, of Mt. Pleasant, TN.
Kelsey was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Her life’s goal was to love and to be loved and she did just that with her unique southern charm and hilarity. Kelsey loved all things related to cheer, dance, and pageantry. Most notably, she was a cheerleader for Shelbyville Central High School and Middle Tennessee State University, a dance teacher at Dancy’s Dance Studio, and also judged and participated in pageant competitions across Middle Tennessee such as Miss Black Shelbyville, Miss Black and Gold, and Miss Krismon and Kream.
She received her Bachelors Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in December 2014 in Education, where she became a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. – Eta Psi Chapter. Serving as a military spouse, Kelsey later relocated to San Diego, California, where she worked in Human Resources and gave herself as a full time mother and wife.
Kelsey is preceded in death by her father, Clifton Clark Green; grandparents, Charles and Emma Thompson and William Hudspeth.
She is survived by her husband, Marcus Darnell Wallace; parents: Phyllis Thompson-Green (Clifton) and George Tyrone Hudspeth (Deborah); father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Sheila Wallace; and grandmother, Marva Hudspeth, of Mt. Pleasant, TN; one daughter, Bexley Shang Klark Littlejohn; two sons: Braxton Andrew Clark and Clifton Beaux Clark; two sisters, Whitley Thompson, of Murfreesboro, TN nd Jasmine Muhammad (Omar), of Palm Dale, CA; two brothers Clifton Green, of Mobile, AL, and Craig Green, of Shelbyville, TN; one brother-in-law, Anthony Wallace, of Houston, TX; godmother, Sharonita Liles, of Shelbyville, TN; and a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and devoted friends.
