Her Story

Today, we gather to honor the life of Latoya D. Davis, known to many of us as Toya. Born in Philadelphia on August 12, 1992, To her loving parents, the late Tamikia Penn and her loving father Darryl Davis, who she loved so dearly Toya brought light and energy into the world from the very beginning. She attended the Salzburger elementary school where she met some of her childhood friends following by attending university city high school,where she was the life of the school as many knowing her after graduating in 2010 she proceeded her passion in cosmetology at empire beauty school .

Then later took interest in dental assistant school at Harris school of business. She later gave birth to two wonderful daughters Simiya brown & mikyah brown who she love dearly Toya was sweet in nature, but make no mistake—she didn’t take any mess. She had a strength and resilience that was unmistakable, but her heart was always filled with love for those around her. She loved fiercely and completely, and she was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in. For those of us who had the privilege of knowing Toya, we’ll always remember her for her kindness, her loyalty, and the joy she spread just by being herself.

She was someone who would go the extra mile for her friends and family, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or provide a listening ear. Toya lived her life with purpose, always making sure the people she loved knew how much they mattered. As we say goodbye today, let us remember the laughter she shared, the strength she showed, and the love she gave. Her spirit will live on in our hearts, and her legacy will be carried forward by all who knew her. Though our time with her was too short, the impact of her life will continue to shine brightly through the lives she touched.

Latoya D. Davis leaves behind a legacy and kindness and a loving family which includes her two beautiful daughters, Simiyah Brown and Mikyah Brown. Her father Daryl Davis, and siblings, Shakara House, Amina House, Jasmine House, Shamika House, Ashley Davis, and Darryl Davis Jr. Latoya, also departs from her beloved grandmother Geraldine Penn, Aunt Tawanda Armour and a host of other family and friends. Latoya will be dearly missed by all. Latoya will always live in our hearts!
