Her Story
Alexa Jessalyn Martin was a beacon of unwavering faith, love, and kindness. She was born on August 5, 1988, in Saginaw, the daughter of Albert III and Gail (McInally) Ross. She met the love of her life, Isaac, working at Bronson Hospital as a registered nurse. Alexa’s life was a testament to the faith, her family, and those that knew her.
Zelie Marie Therese Martin, born on June 28, 2023, went to Heaven on November 10, 2024. She was a joyful, comforting child of God. Zelie will be remembered as a busy little girl, always playful, with a big attitude who was loved by her entire family, especially her two brothers and many “little moms” sisters.
A devout traditional Catholic, Alexa’s practice of the faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She fulfilled her beliefs through her role as a loving wife, a dedicated mother to her ten children, and a nurturing daughter and true friend to many.
Alexa also shared her passion for learning as a teacher to her children, touching the lives of many with her honesty, spontaneity, and kindness. She was known as one of the good ones. Her humble nature, example, and charity left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Alexa is survived by her parents Albert and Gail; husband Isaac Martin; children: Jacob, Alaina, Magdalynn, Genevieve, Hyacinthia, Brielle, Emilia, and Kilian; siblings: Albert Ross IV, and Amy Whittington; mother in law Maria Martin; numerous in-laws; uncle Mark (Susan) McInally; aunt Christine (Jim) Porritt; and multiple nieces and nephews. Alexa was joined in death by daughters Zelie and unborn baby Mariela. She was proceeded in death by grandparents: Jesse (Gray) McInally, Jack McInally, Albert Ross Jr.; father in law Sam Martin; sister in law Yolanda Martin; and niece Sara Hasbrouck.
