Her Story
Lydia Katherine Cox, age 33, of Saraland, Alabama passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2021. Lydia was born November 17, 1987. Lydia was a loving , devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Her laugh and smile were infectious and she was loved by all who knew her. She received her Master’s Degree in Spanish and had a passion for the language as well as her students. Lydia always had a passion for giving of herself.
She passed away during childbirth. Being a surrogate mother was on her bucket list. She wanted to give the gift of a child to a couple that would otherwise never experience parenthood. During this journey, Lydia bonded and her entire family bonded closely with the chosen couple. Lydia did indeed give the gift of a son and accomplished this bucket list item. She will forever be loved and cherished.
Lydia leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Trey Cox, her children Kingston Barnes, Dominic Garcia, Carlos Garcia and Logan Cox. She also leaves behind her father Stephen Johnson, Dad Dennis Guion and mother Anne Nachod and countless loving family members and friends.
