Alison R. (nee Schmotzer) Holmgren, 38, of Concord Twp., passed away unexpectedly February 19, 2019 at the University Hospital in Cleveland. She was born April 13, 1980 in Cleveland.
Alison was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was an Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper who worked out of the Ashtabula Post.
Survivors are her husband, Timothy Holmgren; children Caroline and Reagan; parents, Mark and Jeanne Schmotzer; sister, Laura (Chris) Travers; brother, Brian (Elicia) Schmotzer; mother and father in law, Sally and Jim Holmgren; sister in law, Sarah (Bob) Heady; nieces and nephews, Ashlyn, Creighton, Camryn, Ryann and Jacob; maternal grandfather, Raymond Hrovat; and her grandmother in law, Sally Dugan.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hrovat; paternal grandparents, Elmer and Eleanor Schmotzer; her grandparents in law, Thomas “Dez” Dugan, and Robert and Doris Holmgren.
