Her Story
Amber was born April 7, 1986, in Portsmouth, to the late Luke A. Howard and Mary Alice Williams Howard of West Portsmouth. She was of the Apostolic faith. A ham at heart, Amber was a wonderful and loving person who was dearly loved by her many friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Tylar Cruise Dixon of Portsmouth, and his father, Jerry Dixon; two sisters, Tiffany Howard of Portsmouth and Deanna Houston of Newark; grandmother, Irene Howard of Wilmington; grandmother, Bonnie K. Bertram, with whom Amber made her home, grandfather, Jerry Bertram, and grandparents, Marie and Teddy McBee, all of Portsmouth; aunts and uncles with whom she was raised, Trudi Collins, Terri (Jay) Hoskins, Tom (Beth) Host, and Geraldine (Larry) Harmon; cousins with whom she was raised, B.J. Collins and Leroy Craft; a very special nephew, Matthew Richardson; and many other special great-aunts and great-uncles, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
