Her Story
A beautiful baby boy was born to Pedro and Delrae (Playle) Vazquez, on Friday, January 5 at the Evanston Regional Hospital in Evanston, Wyoming. Mother and baby were both reported to be doing well.
However, Mrs. Vazquez died very suddenly late Sunday evening, January 7, just two days before her 20th birthday.
Delrae Playle and Pedro Vazquez were married last year in an outdoor garden wedding at the home of a cousin. The couple made their home in Kemmerer and were elated at the prospect of becoming first time parents.
Jordan Allen Vazquez was born by Cesarean section and weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. Jordan Allen was named after his Uncle Joel Allen Playle, Delrae’s twin brother.
For reasons yet unknown, Mrs. Vazquez collapsed in her Kemmerer home just a few hours after bringing her newborn home from the hospital. She was transported to South Lincoln Medical Center in Kemmerer where all attempts to resuscitate her failed.
