Her Story

Dina LaTecia Holden, 26, of Salisbury, departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of Thomas W. Williams and Deborah Elsey Williams.

She was a 2009 graduate of James M. Bennett High School. She later matriculated at the University of Maryland University College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice on May 13, 2017. She worked as a Correctional Officer at ECI in Westover.

Dina was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Quantico. She was also a member of AFSCME where she served as a Union Steward.

In addition to her parents, she will be lovingly remembered by: her husband, Xavier Holden; two children, Mckaylee Thressa Dennis and Xavien James Holden; a stepdaughter, Jade London Waters; four sisters, Gina Williams (twin), Gia Gustave (Danny), Crystal Witherspoon, and Vonnie Williams; three brothers, Kyle Williams, Thomas Williams, and Tradd Williams; maternal grandfather, Ralph I. Elsey, Sr.; godparents, Thomas and Hope Price, Elise and Douglas Dashields, and Laverne Jackson and Wayne Spence; a special niece and nephew, Annorah Gustave and Nasir Whaley; a host of aunts, uncles, other nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Xander Reigh Holden.
