Elaysha Davis’ Gilliam better known as “Lay” was born on January 11, 1998, in Kansas City, Missouri to Ed Gilliam Sr. and Lee Esther Buchanan. Elaysha, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece danced into heaven on January 20, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri.
Elaysha accepted God as her Lord and Savior, at an early age. She attended Impact Family Worship Center along with other churches, as much as she could. She was loved by so many and was always willing to help anyone. She was known for feeding the homeless. Elaysha had a heart of gold.
Elaysha was a big part of Operation Breakthrough, as this is where her children attended. She attended Kansas City Public schools and obtained her G.E.D. Elaysha worked at Johnson Controls. She will always be known for having a heart of gold and being a daddy’s girl.
She is preceded in death by. her son Ronnell Buchanan, cousins Samuel Gonzales, Niko Gonzales and Uncle Lionel Gillham.
Elaysha was known for being the life of the party and breaking out in a twerk session. She was very energetic.
Elaysha is survived by her sons and daughter Sebashion Rainey, Syncere Rainey, Semaj Rainey, and her unborn child C’nylah Miles. Father, Ed Gilliam, Sr., (Clydetta). Mother, Lee Esther Buchanan, Brother and Sisters, Ed Gilliam Jr, Evonte’ Gilliam, Edrico Gilliam, Gerold Blackmon, Brandon Gilliam, Mikel Pettit, Deanna Forbes, Lanique Gilliam. Donnie Allen, Edricka Gilliam, Edrayona Gilliam. Grandparents, Lovina Gilliam and Rhonda Buchanan. Godmother Ms. Debra. Her Significant other Steffon Rainey and a host of other relatives and friends.
