Her Story
Janet Gifford-Meyers, 41, of Safety Harbor, formerly of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday (April 17, 2001). She was born in Miami and came to the Tampa Bay area in 1985 from Washington, D.C. She was a senior project manager for the Pinellas County Economic Development Department and was a former assistant city attorney for St. Petersburg. She also had worked for the St. Petersburg law firm of Robbins, Gaynor & Bronstein. She was a member of Temple B’nai Israel of Clearwater and the American Bar Association.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; a son, Robert Sanford Meyers, and a daughter Rebekah Laya Meyers, both of Safety Harbor; her father, Paul Gifford, Fort Lauderdale; her mother, Marilyn Gifford, Clearwater; and a brother, Kent Gifford, New York City.
