Jasmine Alisha Kennedy
April 15, 1988 – May 2, 2018
Baltimore, Maryland
Jasmine Alisha Kennedy was born April 15, 1988 to Twanda Denise Kennedy and James William Dunton, Jr. Jasmine peacefully departed this life surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2018. Jasmine was raised by her parents in Baltimore City along with her sibling, Devin Kennedy.
Jasmine received her education in the Baltimore City School system and received her high school diploma from Lake Clifton Senior High school on June 3, 2007. Prior to completing high school, Jasmine gave birth to two handsome sons. One in September 2003, the other in March, 2007. This showed that with a strong family support system, the impossible is possible. Completing school under those circumstances was one the proudest moments in her and her family’s life.
Jasmine began her employment at the the age of 14 as a pool attendant for the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks division where she would often swim while pregnant with her first child. To see that was amazing! She had a strong passion for doing hair and fashion which began at an early age when she would do her baby dolls hair in some fierce styles and dress them sharply, changing their clothes it seemed every hour on the hour. Wherever Jasmine went, one of her dolls went also. She was a business woman in the making. Those early traits prepared her to be the wonderful mother to her two sons, Duronte and Jakai Redd with her being at a young age herself.
In August, 2011, Jasmine gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Cire Glass whom she adored dearly. During that time, Jasmine worked for First Transit mobility transportation company and enjoyed being a driver that assisted people in their daily travels. She held that position until an untimely accident prevented her from performing her duties any longer.
Jasmine was a person who loved and tried to help anyone that she possibly could. She always tried to help children that she thought was treated unfairly or was on the wrong path. She’d try to give to the homeless every time she saw them and would encourage her children to do the same. Jasmine loved creating art and doing school projects with her children. She had a plan to become an entrepreneur with her best friend Whitney and eventually move her and her family to Atlanta, Georgia. Jasmine’s motto was “I want to
give my children everything!” She did a great job doing so. Jasmine loved to talk, and when she got started, boy, could she go! She was raised to believe in and except Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior which she did
until her last day. Jasmine gave birth to a beautiful baby girl the day before she moved on to glory. A gift from our GOD IN HEAVEN to bring peace and love to her entire family.
Jasmine was a very well known person and was loved by so many. She leaves to mourn, four children, Duronte Redd, Jakai Redd, Cire Glass and Kennedy Love Glass. Mother, Twanda Denise Kennedy, Father, James William Dunton Jr, Stepmother Kimberly Dunton brother, Devin Kennedy Grandmother, Linda
