Her Story
Kasey Marie Frasier passed away suddenly June 26, 2022 due to complications of pregnancy and child birth. Kasey was born October 21, 1989 in Bennington, VT to her loving parents Robin and Philip Frasier.
Kasey’s sense of humor and fun-loving nature made for a childhood filled with smile inducing memories made with her parents, sisters and childhood friends and neighbors. Kasey attended Sacred Heart Elementary for primary school and later Mount Anthony Union High School.
From an early age Kasey had a love for sports and participated in many different activities including dance, basketball and soccer. Kasey excelled at soccer and basketball. She played goal keeper for the varsity girls soccer team her sophomore, junior and senior years and was a part of the 2-time state championship varsity girls basketball team, winning titles her junior and senior years. Kasey was recruited to play soccer for Wheaton College in Norton, MA where she played goal keeper for the women’s team. After a shoulder injury during her freshman year, Kasey’s soccer career was cut short.
Following this life altering shift from a young life centered around a passion for athletics, came self-reflection and the search for a new path. Kasey soon discovered a new passion and left Wheaton to pursue a career in cosmetology. She studied cosmetology at Empire beauty school in Boston, where her family would visit her and volunteer as models while she learned the various techniques of coloring, cuts and updos. Upon graduation from school, Kasey began her cosmetology career at The Clip Shop in both Pittsfield, MA and Williamstown MA locations.
After a few years of working and living close to her childhood home, Kasey ventured to Connecticut for a brief period and spent time with her sister brother in law and their children, before ultimately moving to Asheville, NC. The move to North Carolina lead Kasey to meeting the love of her life, Nathan. Kasey and Nathan’s love for one another was evident to all around them and they were engaged to be married surrounded by friends and family on May 30, 2021.
Kasey and Nathan were so excited to welcome their son Philip John “PJ” Frasier-Reeves into the world. PJ arrived early on June 26, 2022.
Kasey is predeceased by her paternal grandparents Edward and Nancy Frasier of Bennington Vt. Kasey is survived by her fiancé Nathan Reeves of Murphy, NC, and their son Philip John Frasier-Reeves, parents Robin and Philip Frasier of Pownal VT, her sisters Kathryn Frasier (Cody Colombie) of Ellington, CT and Kyrsten Humphreys, her husband Owen Humphreys and her nieces and nephews Riley, Charley, Jack and Ty of South Windsor, CT, her maternal grandparents Kaye and Gary Daigneault of Pownal VT, Aunt and Uncle Bonnie and Bill Myers, Aunt Gretchen Dzedzej, cousins Bradley and Bailey Myers and Micheal and Sarah Dzedzej, her lifelong best friend and chosen sister Carly Lachant, and many, many treasured close friends who became family.
