Who She Was

Her Story

Na’Toyedre LaVarrasyae Barrow made her grand entrance to the world on October 12,1999. Born to her parents Ramona Barrow and LeVarrus Thompson and welcomed by her loving family, she would soon make a mark on the lives of everyone that met her.

“Naee” as she was affectionately called by family and friends, was reared in a loving and nurturing home. Her life was a reflection of whom she’d dedicated it to early in life, Christ Jesus. She became a member of First Baptist Church of Cullen, Louisiana under the leadership of Pastor Brian Wilson, where in her early years she was baptized and remained an active member of the youth choir.

She attended school in northern Webster Parish, and was a member of North Webster High School Pep Squad. Though she was young and a student, her nurturing and mothering spirit were what drew others to her. Her willingness to help and show compassion towards others were only a portion of the bright, warm light she carried. She walked and lived servanthood.

Na’Toyedre was the friend everyone desires to have – if she called you friend, she was that ‘til the end. Her calm, yet feisty, and firecracker personality made any encounter with enjoyable and worth the time.

Her special bond with her neighbor and best friend, Jaylen Thomas, was one that others admired. She took her big sister role with him seriously, and was a strong, consistent support for his mother Danicka following his transition in 2018. Danica had a chance to give the same support and comfort to Naee during the loss of her paternal grandmother earlier this year.

She had many things she enjoyed and loved including social media: Instagram and Facebook, watching Love and Hip Hop, Jerry Springer, hanging out with her friends, eating crawfish and Chick-a-Dilly but most importantly taking care of her son Jaiden. But nothing compared to the love she had for her family. She was employed at Taco Bell in Springhill, then Minden when she moved.
