Her Story
Roshelle Lemon was born on October 31,1985 to Deborah Jones Lemon and Tyrone Lemon. She was educated in the Orleans Parish school system and was a graduate of Marion Abramson High School. Roshelle gave her life to Christ at an early age. On Monday, August 16, 2021, Roshelle entered the pearly gates of Heaven. Roshelle was a loving & devoted mother of Shilo Lemon, Sheldon Gomez and her unborn son, Alcide Ricky Lemon. Roshelle had 1 brother Leonard Jones (Lonecia Landry), 2 sisters: Tanisha Treadwell Hughes (Roy Hughes Jr.) and Adline Jones; 4 nieces: Leshelle, Leniyah, Lenaiye Jones and Rodai’Ja Hughes; 1 great niece Lenia Spencer, 4 God children: Casey Porter, Kyle Rose Surtain, Jaliah M. Edwards and London Raylin Charles; 1 God sister Keyoka Jones, devoted cousin Elbert Williams IV, grandmother Barbara Sims, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her great-grandparents Aurthur & Adline Johnson, grandparents Ernestine Jones & JC Howard, grandmother Betty Ann Lastie, uncles Alcide Jones and Michael Lemon, and aunts Darlene Jones and Lucretia Lemon White. Roshelle was employed at Acadian Home Care Services for several years. She was a member of Reaping the Harvest Ministries, under the leadership of Apostle Troy Lawrence. Shell had a special relationship with her sons and she loved them dearly. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
