Her Story
It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Savannah Thompson, 27, of Buckhannon, WV, and her unborn baby girl Athena. Savannah was seven months pregnant, and their lives were tragically cut short. Their loss leaves an indescribable void in the hearts of their family and all who knew them.
Born to Staci Yeaples and John Thompson of Elyria, OH, Savannah was a shining light, gifted with an artistic spirit that brought beauty and meaning to those around her. She found joy and inspiration in daisies and nature, leaving behind a legacy of vibrant creativity and love.
Savannah was a cherished sister to Kathryn, Adam, Allen, Hailey, Sabrina, Aden, and Peyton. She was an incredible big sister, guiding her younger siblings with tenderness and strength, and shared an unbreakable bond with their oldest sister.
Savannah was also a devoted fiancée to Jeffery Tyler Marfield, growing her family to include soon-to-be mother-in-law, Sandra Marfield, and brother-in-law, Brandon Marfield, all of Buckhannon, WV.
She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, cousin and niece. She brought light and joy to her parents, and those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Athena was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jeffery Lawrence Marfield, her uncle, Jason Marfield, and her great-grandmother, Loretta Samples.
Savannah was preceded in death by her grandmother Kathryn Guess, and grandfathers Terry Yeaples and Larry Thompson.
