The RememberHer Project publishes memorials for women who died during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum.

We welcome submissions from anyone who knew her.

What to Include

• Her Full Name
  • Please include nickname, middle names, maiden name if known. 
• Dates of Birth and Death
• City and State of Death
• Cause of Death if known
• Obituary / Story (optional but appreciated)
  • This can be via text, URL, or file upload. 
  • If you’re sending an obituary, a link or a photo of the printed version works fine.
• Photo of Her
  • She should be the focus—no partners, family members, or children, although pets are welcome.
  • Send the largest file size possible (JPEG or PNG preferred)

Can’t find all of this? That’s okay. Send what you have—we may be able to help fill in the blanks.

What Not to Include

• Group / Family Photos
  • Any photos where she isn’t the clear focus.
• Graphic Medical Details
  • Unless they are central to her story, and told with care.
• Language that blames, shames, or diminishes her.
  • We don’t sanitize maternal mortality. But we also don’t dishonor the women we’ve lost.
