Her Story
Miss Tanysia Janae Middlebrooks, age 19, of Roberts Street in Thomaston, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, 2024.
Tanysia Janae Middlebrooks was born Jan. 6, 2005, in Thomaston, to Sherrika Allen and Tavares Middlebrooks. She received her education from Upson-Lee Schools, graduating with the Class of 2023.
Tanysia excelled in academics. She was an honor graduate who maintained all As and a GPA of 3.9 throughout high school. Because of her academic achievements, she was honored to join the Beta Club, Upward Bound, National Honor Society, National Youth Leadership, and was a cheerleading captain for the Upson-Lee High School basketball team.
She attended Georgia State University and later transferred to Gordon State College, where she was attending to receive her RN degree. She was a smart and beautiful young lady who always wore a beautiful smile. Friday, Jan. 26, 2024, her sweet spirit went to be at rest.
She was preceded in death by two grandparents, Bennie Lee Harden and Sammie Lee Allen, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Sherrika Allen (Ronzo); father, Tavares Middlebrooks (Mollie); devoted Godfather, Gary Raglin; devoted boyfriend, Koronn Smith; grandmothers, Marcia Harden, Darlene Bailey (Reginald); siblings, Jaqualin Pennyman, A’Keila Raines, and Kenzi Middlebrooks; devoted cousin, Jacariya Parker; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss her very dearly.
