Trishawna Wendy Quarles was born August 1, 1977 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Barbara Farley-Williams and Arthur L. Farley. Trishawna was the beloved wife of Aaron Samon Quarles. Having known each other since elementary school, the love-struck couple was joined in holy matrimony on June 2, 2001.
Despite health challenges, Trishawna graduated from Cal Poly State University with a Single Subject Teaching Credential and Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She fulfilled her lifelong dream by working as an English teacher at Santa Maria High School. She was highly regarded by her students, fellow teachers, and administrators and was heralded for both inspiring her students and increasing their levels of expectation. Trishawna also took an interest in her students outside of the classroom and served as an advisor to the Step Team and Black Student Union.
Trishawna received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 7 and served in her local church. Even from a young age, she was a person of sound principles, high moral values, and dignity. Trishawna touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Trishawna departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2011 at the age of 34.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeremy Wright and leaves to cherish her memory the following: husband, Aaron Quarles and their son, Dorian Quarles of Nipomo, CA; mother, Barbara Farley-Williams of San Luis Obispo, CA; father, Arthur L. Farley; step-father, Donald Williams; step-mother, Dorothy Farley; 2 brothers: James Farley of Tulare, CA and Raymond Williams of San Luis Obispo, CA; 5 sisters: Toni Matthews of Lakewood, WA, Tracee Baxter of Honolulu, HI, Lakisha Bradley of San Luis Obispo, CA, Lisha Haiola of Hinesville, GA, and Natasha Farley of Tulare, CA; 2 aunts, VerGena Robinson of San Pablo, CA and Joanne Jackson of Washington as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
