Her Story
With disbelief and shattered hearts, the family of Abirami Goyal announces her passing on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, Sahana Abi Goyal.
Abi was only 31 but her life was full of love and adventure. She loved traveling and all things outdoors with her two fur babies, Scout and Jasper, and the love of her life, her adoring husband of 6 years, Kartikeya.
Abi could do anything she put her mind to, not the least of which was graduating in three years from UC Berkley where she studied electrical engineering. She continued to a successful career with Intel with endless humility and grace.
Abi possessed a strength that was quiet but fierce and she brought that strength to every aspect of her life, including her relationships. Her loyalty and kindness made her an exceptional friend but it didn’t matter how much time you spent with her, to know her at all was to love her.
The greatest tragedy is that she will never fulfill her dream of watching her baby girl grow up and that her daughter will not have the experience of knowing the incredible woman Abi was and the incredible mother she would have undoubtedly been. Our only solace is the brief time she was able to hold and feel her and the happiness she radiated in her final moments.
She was quick to laugh, slow to judge, and our lives will never be the same without her.
