Her Story
Melissa Lynn Heim, 19, of Warren, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2001, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
She was a student in De Kalb, majoring in Sociology.
She was born on July 5, 1981, in Darlington, Wis. She was the daughter of Mark Heim and Patricia and Richard Allvin.
She graduated from Warren High School in 1999, and attended Elmhurst College in 1999-2000. She was very athletic and was in the sports programs at Warren High School and was on the Elmhurst volleyball team.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Patricia and Richard Allvin, of Warren; her father, Mark Heim, of Shullsburg; a brother, Joshua Heim, of Warren; a sister, Katie Allvin, of Warren; grandparents, Robert and Marge Franz, of Edgar, Wis.; a great-grandmother, Rose Franz, of Boulder, Colo.; and grandparents, John and Dorothy Heim, of Shullsburg, Wis., and Oran and Lorraine Allvin, of Warren.
She was preceded in death by an aunt, Kathy Allvin.
