Her Story
Ms. Ciji Bonita Graham, 34, passed on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at her residence.
Born October 24, 1989 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of Carolyn Graham and the late Bobby E. Wesley, Sr. Ciji was the first born of ten children.
Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, she was a 2008 graduate of Salisbury High School and a 2014 graduate of Livingstone College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art and Criminal Justice. She was last employed as a Police Officer with the Greensboro Police Department and was the first black female driving instructor for the department. Ms. Graham was honored as Lawman of the Year in 2022 and was very involved with the community of Greensboro and Guilford County.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby E. Wesley, II.
Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Shawn Scott, Jr. of the home; mother, Carolyn Graham of Salisbury; boyfriend, Shawn Scott, Sr. of Greensboro; siblings, Casey Graham, Chevala Graham, T’vadis Wesley, Feylan Wesley, Cherish Wesley, Clear Wesley, Chy’na Wesley, Xayden Wesley all of Kannapolis, and Sassy Graham of Salisbury; grandmother, Estelle Graham of Salisbury; aunt, Renee Graham of Salisbury; uncles, Roosevelt and Woody Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, colleagues, other relatives and friends.
