Her Story
Haley Elizabeth Ilgenfritz, Artistic Director and acting-President of the Board of Directors of burgeoning theatre group Dormant Phoenix, beloved wife of Jason Ilgenfritz, Executive Director of same, succumbed to a battle with post-partum depression June 5, 2012.
Of great importance to her has always been the issues surrounding mental health and the stigma attached to them often preventing those who suffer from a disease she knew to be every bit as serious and wasting as Leukemia and HIV from receiving the treatment that could save their life.
She will be desperately missed by her three children, Lyx Ilgenfritz (9), Jackson Ilgenfritz (7), and Briar Ilgenfritz (4 mos.); as well as extended family that helped her to celebrate life. Her children, husband, and friends will always remember her as warm and vibrant, the light to any room; proof that love outlasts death.
Haley was born May 17, 1988, to Carl Nowoczynski and Colleen August Nowoczynski. She has four brothers, Paul, Steve, Dustin and Jacob Nowoczynski; and two sisters, Chrissy Ann and Sadie Nowoczynski.
Haley was preceded into the next life by her grandfathers, Gregory August, Sr. and Alois Nowoczynski; and her grandmother, Donna Lee Grimm.
Haley studied theatre at Edinboro University and then on her own. Her talent and beauty were exceeded only by her exceptional skill as a parent.
