Her Story
Whitney Ann Gentry Maurer, 22, of Farmington, N.M. passed away Tuesday, July 27, 2010 due to complications after giving birth to her son Henry Darin Maurer at San Juan Regional Medical Center. She was surrounded by her family.
Whitney was born June 16, 1988 in Farmington, daughter of Richelle and David Gentry. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Farmington 5th Ward.
Whitney was a precious gift from God above, so much beauty, compassion and love. She touched countless hearts as a wife, mother, friend, daughter, sister and a nurse in so many ways, her unending smile always brightening our days. All who knew you will greatly miss you Whitney.
Whitney is survived by the love of her life, Tony Maurer; her beautiful baby boy Henry Darin Maurer; her parents Richelle and David Gentry; her brother Austin Gentry; her father and mother-in-law Terry and Anna Maurer; grandparents Dusty and Rita Mecham and JoAnn and Dale Merrell; many aunts, uncles, cousins, hospital colleagues and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Charles Gentry, and Tony’s grandparents, Leon and Inez Maurer.
