Her Story
Brittany Ann Sather, age 19, of Menomonie, passed away with her unborn child on Saturday, May 6, 2006, at St Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minn.
Brittany was born Feb. 26, 1987, the daughter of Shelly Knutson and Mark Sather. She was raised in the Menomonie area and graduated in 2005 from Menomonie High School. She was confirmed at and a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie.
Brittany enjoyed caring for infants and young children all of her life. She met her fiance, Jesse Olson, through friends and they enjoyed three loving years together, spending time with family and friends. Brittany shared a special bond with her younger sister, Tayler. Brittany was Tayler’s hero and best friend. Brittany was a fun-loving person who always put others first; she always left a special note for everyone. Anyone who met Brittany loved her. What she wanted most in life was to be a mom.
Brittany is survived by her fiance, Jesse Olson of Boyceville; her mother, Shelly Knutson of Colfax; her father, Mark (Roshelle) Sather of Eau Claire; two sisters, Tayler Sather of Eau Claire and Jamie Jo (fiancee Jeremy) Sather of Bloomer; one brother, Jason (Vannessa) Sather of Bloomer; a stepbrother, Keagan Metzenbauer of Eau Claire; grandparents, Dennis and Dixie Knutson of Bloomer and James Sather of Eau Claire; stepgrandparents, Larry (Sharon) Metzenbauer of Cadott; aunts and uncles, Denise (Tom) Wirth and Julie (Tony) Theisen, both of Eau Claire, Becky (Rich) Knutson of Colfax, Dave (Sandy) Sather of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jeff (Kristi) Sather and Randy (Jennifer) Sather, both of Eau Claire; a godchild, Aren Theisen of Eau Claire; and by many other relatives and friends.
Brittany was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Sather.
