Who She Was
Her Story
Ashley Nicole Parker (née Benedict) died on May 4, 2026 at the age of 35 due to pregnancy-related medical complications. Ashley was born on April 30, 1991 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Bill and Debbie Benedict. She was their second of three daughters, born after Alisha and before Mikayla.
Ashley spent the entirety of her youth in Bellevue, Washington. She attended Eastside Christian and Newport High School and was an avid dancer and drill-team member. Later, she attended Western Washington University where she was a cherished Young Life leader to many high school students.
After graduation, she moved back to the Seattle area where she and Eric Parker met as Mercer Island Young Life leaders in 2016. They dated, quickly fell in love, and were married in 2018.
Early in their marriage, she pivoted careers from medical sales to ultrasound sonography, a role she excelled at. Her warmth and competency made her a favorite among patients and coworkers alike.
Ashley and Eric started a family together in 2021, fulfilling their lifelong dreams of becoming parents. They were wedded for nearly eight blissful years living out a beautiful, extraordinary, ordinary life together.
Ashley was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend of many. She was always quick to light up a room with her smile and laugh. She had a special ability to make people feel heard and loved. She is survived by her husband, Eric; her sons, Brody (4), Owen (2), and newborn Wyatt; her parents, Bill and Debbie; and her sisters, Alisha and Mikayla.
Ashley died as she lived, bringing life and joy into the world. As a follower of Jesus, we know that we will see her again in Heaven, but will miss her dearly until that day.
