Her Story
Amanda Sue Orr, 31, a resident of Sugarcreek Drive, Franklin, was pronounced dead at 4:29 AM Thursday, August 22, 2019, shortly after her arrival in the Emergency Department of UPMC Northwest in Seneca; less than one week after giving birth to her son, Colt.
Amanda passed away of a suspected pulmonary embolism, a sometimes fatal complication related to pregnancy and child birth.
She was born April 23, 1988 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of Larry R. and Debra S. Orr, of Sugarcreek.
A 2007 graduate of Rocky Grove High School, she was employed in the deli department at Giant Eagle in Franklin.
Amanda leaves behind her parents; her paternal grandmother, Marjorie Orr; her fianc, Brad Alsbaugh; her daughter, Bridget; son, Jase and newborn son, Colt and step-daughter, Takara. Amanda also leaves behind a brother, Kevin Orr and wife, Kerry; niece Liliana and nephew, Logan; a sister, Lisa Patterson and husband, Chuck; niece Penny and nephews: Perrin and Preston; along with many loving aunts, uncles, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Ralph and Alberta Peterson and by her paternal grandfather, William Orr.
