Her Story
Morgan Renee Walters, 32, was born August 12, 1990, to Brent and Christine (Lynch) Schlader in Charles City, Iowa. She passed away March 31, 2023, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
Morgan graduated from Charles City High School in 2008 and at the University of Upper Iowa in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Management.
On October 26, 2019, Morgan married her best friend and love of her life, Tyler Walters, in Marble Rock, Iowa. Together they were blessed with the birth of two sons: Riley and Bennett. The couple also had two dogs: Timber and Gauge.
Morgan was employed with Viafield Cooperative as an Accounting Associate and loved being with her work family and helping customers. Prior to Viafield, Morgan was employed at Zoetis, where she met many lifelong friends. She also was never afraid to put on her rubber boots and help out on the Schlader Family Farm.
Morgan was an avid gardener and loved maintaining the flower beds around their home. She also enjoyed birdwatching, hiking, mushroom hunting and trapping with her husband, son and dogs. She truly loved being outside and had an appreciation for our natural resources.
Morgan was THE BEST MOM. She was so proud of Riley and loved watching him do “toddler things” and show off his LEGO block creations. She was so eager to raise another baby boy and watch the boys grow up together.
Morgan is survived by her husband, Tyler; their sons: Riley and Bennett; her parents, Brent and Christine Schlader; brother, Tylor Schlader (Race Higgins); grandfather, Craig Lynch; grandmother, Laurna Schlader; mother and father-in-law, Melody and Todd Walters; sister-in-law, Heather (Cody) Baker; nephews: Carson and Cooper; along with numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her dog, Timber; grandmother, Geraldine Lynch; uncle, Randy Peters; and grandfather, Gene Schlader.
Morgan has touched the lives of countless people. She will be remembered as a kindhearted soul, and a true friend.
