Her Story
Rachel Marie (Maher) Olivas died unexpectedly and tragically on Friday, August 24, 2018. She was born on August 20, 1984 in Fairfax, Virginia.
She was the eldest daughter of Diane and Bill Maher and sister to Elizabeth (Busy). Rachel graduated from ASU in 2011, majored in communications. Rachel was married to Brian Olivas on September 27, 2015.
She was four months pregnant at the time of her death. She was an organ donor and Rachel was able to save four lives with her organ donation. Rachel was a lively, passionate woman who brightened all our lives.
She lived her life as best as she could with purpose and love. Her death does not erase our love and we continue to celebrate and honor her life.
