    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Sha’Quana Deborah Jordan announces her tragic passing on February 5, 2025, at the age of 30. She was born on September 19, 1994, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Sha’Quana completed the Commonwealth Challenge, graduated from Deep Creek High School, by earning her GED. She later pursued the Pharmacy Tech program at Job Corps. Additionally, she obtained the Continuing Care Assistant (CCA) certificate through the Chesapeake Adult Learning Center. A dedicated caregiver, Sha’Quana took great pride in providing compassionate care to her clients. She was known for her infectious presence, with a smile and laugh that could light up even the darkest room.

She cared deeply for everyone she encountered, from the small children she would pack into her car for a day out or a sleepover—simply because she believed every child deserves joyful experiences. For her friends she was often the backbone, a warm hug, and a shoulder to cry on. Truly selfless, she would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life and knowing she is now at peace with the Lord.

She was loved deeply by many and was predeceased by her mother, Catrina Jordan; great-grandparents, Georgianna and Robert Lawrence, Sophie and Leroy Jordan, and paternal grandparent, Shelby Duncan (Detroit, Michigan).

Sha’Quana is survived by her father, Anthony Ledbetter and stepmother, Dolores Ledbetter; maternal grandmother, Deborah Ann Stovall Gainey (Kenneth Gainey); paternal grandparent, Mary Duncan (Detroit, Michigan) and Judith Gabriel (Nova Scotia, Canada). Sha’Quana lived a life filled with faith, everlasting love, and kindness, leaving behind a smile that will forever be imprinted on our hearts. She was a devoted and remarkable mother to her children, King and Loyal, and now joins her beloved twins, Major, Prince, and Baby Jordan, in heaven. She was an outstanding sister to Obadiah (Nova Scotia, Canada), Tiara (Norfolk, Virginia), Tamika (deceased), Jasmine (Norfolk, VA), Imani, and Shailoam (deceased) (Chesapeake, Virginia). She also shared a special bond with her late sister, La’Quoya. Sha’Quana will be missed by all her family and friends, from Virginia in the United States to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is survived by her maternal aunt, Shantell; maternal uncles, Joe, Isaiah, and Uri; paternal uncles, George and the late John; and paternal aunts, Tracy, Katherine (Erick Armsted), Stacey (deceased), and Shelly. She was also cherished by Aunt Leotra, Aunt Terreia (Derek), Aunt Leah (Nathan), Great-Aunt Joan, and Great-Aunt Joyce. Her nieces and nephews include Tiana, Allan Jr., Trey, Marquise Jr., Omari, and Camiya. Her cousins include the late Damita, Lorelle, Laurice (Vanessa), and Derreia. As we celebrate her life, we honor the way she celebrated all of us—bringing joy to every occasion, from Virginia to Nova Scotia, Canada.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Promise Michelle Cooper, and her precious unborn daughter, Miracle Michelle Marie. Promise was a radiant soul whose deep spirituality, love, and kindness touched everyone around her. Though her time on earth was far too short, her legacy of faith and love will live on through the memory of her and the daughter she carried.

Promise was loving, compassionate, and wise beyond her years. She had a profound connection to her faith and found joy in prayer, meditation, or serving others. Her love for God and her spiritual journey inspired those around her to seek meaning, kindness, and grace in their own lives. She was eagerly anticipating the arrival of her daughter, Miracle Michelle Marie, who was already deeply loved and cherished.

Miracle Michelle Marie, though never held in our arms, will forever be held in our hearts. She was a symbol of hope, love, and the beautiful future Promise dreamed of. Together, Promise and Miracle brought light and love into our lives, and their memory will continue to guide us.

Promise and Miracle will deeply be missed by her father, Timothy L. Cooper, mother, Tia M. Cooper, brothers, Jessie J. Holmes, Jaware A. Holmes, Marcell D. Holmes, Jacques D. Collins, TaShon J. Cooper and Latrell K. Cooper; sisters, Coralisha A. Cooper, Shontia R. Cooper and her aunt Kari Entenmann, Coleen Brock, Shareta Cooper; uncles, Ty Tucker, Arlo Entenmann, Jeremy Sheltra, Chris Sheltra; grandparents, Karen R. Brock, Priscilla A. Cross aka Milwaukee, grandma and Roger Sheltra and her goddaughter, McKinley M. Martinez, cousin Tonya Martinez, Ayden Martinez and uncle’s Dennis Cooper and Kargie Cooper as well as her many friends and spiritual community.

Though we grieve in their physical absence, we take comfort in knowing that they are now together in the arms of the Divine.

Promise was met with family and friends in the spiritual world to help guide Promise and baby Miracle’s way are as follows: grandpa, Charles D. Brock who so loved so much, her great grandmothers, Veleeta Wenzlick, Mary Cooper, Alice Brock and Rachel Sheltra; cousins, Keaton Wiseman, Kendall Wiseman and Anthony Mosher and her aunt’s Kaythong, Vilaysane, great aunt, Janice Mosher and great uncle, Ralph Wenzlick.

Rest in eternal peace, sweet Promise and Miracle. You will forever be in our hearts. #justiceforpromisecooper[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
