Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Wachenheim

Cynthia Wachenheim, 44, a Colonie native who had lived in New York City since 1992, died on March 13, 2013.

She had worked as an associate attorney for the New York State Supreme Court in lower Manhattan since 1997 and was the valedictorian of Colonie Central High School’s 1986 graduation class. She received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY-Buffalo in 1991, and received her law degree from Columbia Law School in 1995.

Outside of her career, she volunteered her time to many organizations and traveled to numerous destinations around the world.

Cynthia was predeceased by her parents, Kurt and Estelle Wachenheim, and is survived by her husband, Hal Bacharach; her son, Keston of New York City; her brother, Ron (Karen) of Niskayuna; sister, Debbie (LeRoy Wong) of Arlington, Mass.; two nephews, Jared and Russell Wachenheim and two nieces, Stella and Hannah Wong.

Her kindness, friendliness, sense of humor, willingness to help others and intelligence will always be remembered by her family and many friends.
