Her Story
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Grace Marlene Ables, age 24, of Laurens, SC, and her unborn daughter, Skarlett Amore Ables, who went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2023. Grace, a beloved daughter to Eddie and Sherry Able. She was a bright light in their lives, and her memory will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew her.
Grace had a passion for archery that was nothing short of extraordinary. Her skills were unparalleled, and she achieved the remarkable feat of a “Robin Hood Shot” several times, splitting an arrow already in the target with another arrow from the same shot. Her precision and dedication to the sport were truly commendable.
In addition to her archery prowess, Grace had a creative soul. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, embracing her love for coloring. Her collection of coloring books and sets of color pencils, crayons, and markers reflected her vibrant and artistic spirit. Grace was also an avid reader, and her love for literature added depth to her beautiful soul.
Grace’s personality was a blend of silliness, spontaneity, and outgoing warmth. Her contagious laugh had the power to uplift anyone’s spirits, and her kind and sweet nature left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Grace possessed a smile that could brighten the darkest days, and her free and beautiful spirit was a testament to the joy she brought into the world.
She is survived by her loving parents, Eddie and Sherry Ables; sisters, Crystal Ables and family, Marie Paris and family; grandmother, Brenda Hall; aunt, Terry Jonnson; uncle, Richard Parker, and a host of cherished friends, including McKenzie Sloan McCall, Kaylen McGee, Gwen Wald, Kiersten Benton, Stephanie Brackett, and many more.
