Ivelisse ‘Ivy’ Pérez Vargas

Ivelisse “Ivy” Vargas ( nee Perez ), 39 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at St. Peters Medical Center, New Brunswick with her family by her side.
Ivy was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and was raised in Perth Amboy. She is an alumnus of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1996. She moved back to Puerto Rico and graduated from Universidad del Turabo, Isabella, Puerto Rico. She was a Teacher in Puerto Rico for many years, before moving back to Perth Amboy and was employed by the Perth Amboy Board of Education in James J. Flynn School since 2007. She was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose # 1360, and the New Jersey Education Association.
Ivy is preceded in death by her adored son Ian Michael Vargas, who passed away in 2015; loving daughter of Angelina Cardona, who passed away in 2014.
Ivy is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years Jean Carlos Vargas; beloved mother of Jeanalisse Nicole Vargas; adored daughter of Victor R. Perez; dear sister of Frances Perez and her husband Adrian Figueroa and Victor Perez and his wife Michelle Garayta, Roy & Reggie Perez; cherished niece and many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and everyone who knew her.
