    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Trishawna Wendy Quarles was born August 1, 1977 in San Luis Obispo, CA to Barbara Farley-Williams and Arthur L. Farley. Trishawna was the beloved wife of Aaron Samon Quarles. Having known each other since elementary school, the love-struck couple was joined in holy matrimony on June 2, 2001.

Despite health challenges, Trishawna graduated from Cal Poly State University with a Single Subject Teaching Credential and Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She fulfilled her lifelong dream by working as an English teacher at Santa Maria High School. She was highly regarded by her students, fellow teachers, and administrators and was heralded for both inspiring her students and increasing their levels of expectation. Trishawna also took an interest in her students outside of the classroom and served as an advisor to the Step Team and Black Student Union.

Trishawna received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 7 and served in her local church. Even from a young age, she was a person of sound principles, high moral values, and dignity. Trishawna touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Paeasia Taiamonipa Kioa was born of goodly parents in Salt Lake City, UT on October 27, 1987. She has returned to our Heavenly Father on July 13, 2021 in Idaho Falls, ID as she lovingly gave birth to her 5th child.

Daughter of Sitiveni Feliki Kolomalu and the late Lativia Tua’one Kolomalu. She is 3rd of 7 kids: Ema’ile, Heilala, Paeasia, Sione, Mosese, Keriann and Marilyn. She was destined for success as a young woman, always on the go, she lived everyday with purpose. She was raised in Rowland Heights, CA and later finished her Jr. High and High school years in Chino, Ca. She completed a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Chicago Illinois South Mission. After returning home she decided to follow her dream to work in the airline industry and accepted a job as a cross-utilized agent for Skywest Airlines in Idaho Falls, ID. Paeasia then decided to further her education as she attended Brigham Young University-Idaho. There is where she met her eternal companion, her loving husband Filipe Kioa. They were soon married & sealed to one another in the Reno Nevada Temple on July 25th, 2014.

If you ever had a chance to meet Paea, the first thing you would notice about her was her golden heart. She was a shining example of God’s chosen army to prepare the world for the coming of the Savior. Her way of life was nothing short of God’s expectations in this life. From growing up as a child, to serving as a full-time missionary, to being married and having a family of her own, service was at the top of her list and to this day her service continues to impact the lives of many. Paeasia was a God-loving woman that not only taught the ways of the gospel, but more importantly lived it. She understood that God came first, then her family, and everything else came second. She would make you laugh at the simple things in life and find the innocence in every single person. She would serve everyone she met even if just with a warm smile, kind greeting, or a simple wave goodbye. She was loved by all and that is an understatement.

A big part of Paeasia’s life was her love for sweets. With her inspired love for cookies to her delicious, cold otai it was always a treat to be around her and be able to witness a true, pure and sweet spirit. Her body may be absent from this life, but her love and example lives on through her 5 beautiful children Soakai(6) Mele(5) Seneti(3) Keriann(1) Paeasia. The life of Paeasia was simple, but very motivating. One of her greatest attributes was determination to succeed in her plans and work hard until reaching her goals. Even through the final moments of her life, she taught a valuable lesson which is that love is sacrifice. We will be forever blessed to know you…A wonderful wife, true friend, a loving sister, kindhearted daughter, and a beautiful mother. We love you.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Carrie Lou David nee Risdon, 37, of Springfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center.

Carrie was born July 29, 1976, in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Richard Risdon and Pamela (Dickey) Smit. In addition to the love of her parents, Carrie was raised, loved, and cared for by her entire extended family, notably Cheri and Mike McKitrick of Fruitland Park, FL; her Aunt Karen and Uncle Leroy of Dysart, IA; Aunt Jenny Dickey of Belmont, IA; and of course her sisters, Dawn Carlson of Cedar Rapids, IA and Amy Neiss of Fargo, ND. Together they raised an outgoing and beautiful young woman who’s salt could only be garnered from unparalleled clan cooperation.

Carrie graduated from Taylorville High School and attended Illinois College majoring in Education with a minor in Drama. Carrie began her teaching career at Pleasant Plains Middle School. Carrie would soon discover she had a penchant for reaching and inspiring kids and would go on to acquire a master’s degree in school counseling from Eastern Illinois University. Carrie’s true muse was being a universal spark for the learning and betterment of each of her students and doing whatever that took to inspire even the most troubled student. Carrie was avidly involved in Speech, Theater/Drama, and counseling at Pleasant Plains and continues to inspire teachers and students alike through the word of her teamwork, compassion, humor, commitment, work ethic, pragmatism and genuine passion, empathy and love for the human condition, the likes of which are scarcely known.

Carrie met Andrew (Andy) David, a nurse, of Springfield in late 2008; they married surrounded by many, many supportive people and family in a simple, but beautiful (and carefully crafted by her) ceremony at Long Bridge Golf Course on June 16, 2012. Carrie and Andy deeply enjoyed each other’s company, personality and being. They shared many secrets, told each other many truths and shared beliefs and values, tears, joy and support; culminating in the birth of a gorgeous chubby-cheeked daughter, Piper Jane David, on Jan. 24, 2014.

To say she will be missed is incommensurate as is evident in the overwhelming intangible effigy of sorrow, thanksgiving, empathy, and love put forth by this community. Her gracious mother, father, sisters and husband respectfully thank you all…on behalf of the perfect woman.

Carrie is survived by her loving husband, Andy, and their newborn daughter, Piper Jane David of Springfield; her mother, Pamela; her father and stepmother, Richard and Rietta Risdon; her sisters, Dawn (Steve) Carlson and Amy (Darren) Neiss; nephews, Mitch and Brandon Neiss, of Fargo, ND; aunts and uncles, Cheri (Mike) McKitrick of Fruitland Park, FL, and Jenny Dickey of Cedar Rapids, IA; her father- and mother-in-law, Terry and Saundra David; brother-in-law, Matt David; sister-in-law, Gabrielle David, all of Springfield; her cousin, Sheenan Floy Mao of Rochester, MN; as well as numerous students, and friends.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

Megan attended schools in Dallas, Texas, and Newport News before attending Oak Hill Academy, from which she graduated as salutatorian in 2003. In her commencement address, she stated “We all have so much to get out of life; never forget that it is up to us to reach out and grasp what is to come”. She went on to become a loving mother, wife, and veterinary technician, working at Churchland Animal Clinic in Portsmouth until the time of her death.

She is survived by her husband, Aivars Cudney, son Oliver Patrick Worth, age 5 years, newborn daughter Adelaide Willow Cudney, her grandmother Irvene F. Seney of Newport News, her father of Newport News, her mother and husband Mario Mazzarella, Ph.D. of Newport News, in-laws Dan and Margaret Cudney of Ocean View, sister Erin E. Seney, Ph.D. and husband Bryan Smouther of Melbourne, Florida, sister Lauren P. Seney and husband Robert Crispens of Newport News, brother Kevin F. Seney of Charlottesville, nephews Nolan Smouther and Logan Crispens, uncles Richard F. Seney and William C. Schmidt, stepsiblings Haley and Tommy Mazzarella, and multiple cousins.

Megan loved her children dearly, as she did her husband and family. She particularly loved reading with her son, laughter, the joy of dancing, the pleasures of writing, caring for animals, the vibrant rusts and oranges of autumn, and the beauty of willow trees, after which she named her daughter. Though we are profoundly saddened by the brevity of her life, we know that Megan’s legacy will live eternally in the hearts and minds of her children, family, and friends. And we will remember the extraordinary beauty of her smile when we read with her children, when animals play, when butterflies and dragonflies grace our gardens, when fall leaves dance in the air, when deep orange sunsets adorn the skies, when spectacular fingers of sunlight soar above majestic clouds, and when willow trees renew their graceful splendor each and every spring.

The family thank countless wonderful individuals at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Mary Immaculate Hospital, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, and Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance service. We also wish to thank innumerable extraordinary friends and particularly wish to thank Sister Bernard Magill for her remarkable kindness, guidance, and support.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
