    Her Story

    [/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]

Rachel Elizabeth Horton Kelly, 25, beloved and adored wife to Lee Lee Kelly and mother of 4 month old Talon, lost her battle with postpartum depression on 4/7/25. We are all devastated.

She is survived by her parents, Roger and Kay (Edgerton) Horton; grandmother, Betsy Edgerton; grandfather, Donald Horton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Jack Edgerton; paternal grandmother, Kay Lamon; and cousin, Conner Ellis. She is surely in their loving arms right now, which brings us all peace.

She was a cherished daughter and granddaughter, a loving mother and wife, a creative artist and a beautiful soul. She will be missed dearly by all of us who loved her, and especially her new little family that had just begun their next chapter together. We will never forget our precious Rachel or be the same again.

We choose to celebrate her life and the gift that she was to us on this Earth and know that we will reunite in Heaven together for eternity. We love you Rachel, forever and always. We lean on each other during this time to absorb this tremendous loss.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Brigitte Donner Daws, 40, and her unborn son, passed away suddenly from a rare pregnancy complication on June 3, 2020.

Brigitte was born Feb. 19, 1980 in suburban Washington D.C., the first child of Heidi Ehrman Donner, and Alvan Joseph Donner. In 1983, the family relocated to Orinda California where she was raised and graduated from Miramonte High School.

She went on to study English at the University of California at Berkeley, where she was a varsity athlete on the Cal Water Polo team as well as president of Pi Beta Phi sorority. Perhaps most importantly, Cal was also where Brigitte met the love of her life, Philip Daws.

After Cal, and a stint in Washington, D.C. working as a legislative aide, Brigitte got her MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where, unsurprisingly, she served as class president.

Brigitte came home to San Francisco and built an impressive career ultimately becoming a Vice President at Salesforce and chairing Dreamforce, the world’s largest tech conference.

In 2015, Brigitte literally bumped into Philip on Chestnut St. near both their apartments. It was love again at second sight! They were married in 2018 and soon moved to Tiburon. She passed away 6 days prior to their 2nd anniversary. Their first child, a son, was due June 17.

Brigitte was a magnetic and strong woman. She operated in a gear rarely seen and why she achieved great success in everything she did and did so with a giant smile all the time. Her infectious enthusiasm together with her universal kindness created friendships that were all deep, strong and fiercely loyal. Every day with Brigitte was a party and a great adventure.

While she took great pride in her work, she was most passionate about her family and her friends. She had a way to make everyone a better version of themselves. Every moment with Brigitte was the best part of anyone’s day.

Brigitte will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Philip, his siblings Bradley, Patrick, and Megan, his parents Virginia Daws and John Daws, her parents Heidi and Alvan Donner, her brother Alan and his fiancée Molly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Danielle Leilani Riotte, 29, passed away on September 29, 2019, due to complications of childbirth. She was born in Columbia, South Carolina, lived in Darmstadt Germany for 5 years then moved to Rhode Island where she lived until 2012.

She is survived by her infant daughter, Bobbi Elizabeth Gates-Riotte, her fiancée, Jacob Gates, her parents, John and Stephanie (Travers) Riotte, and her brother, Andrew Riotte. She also leaves behind a loving grandmother, Elizabeth Travers and Aunts and Uncles; Joseph and Margarita Travers, David and Kim Travers, Margaret Riotte, Ann and Michael Avesato, and beloved cousins Allison and Peter Spinella and their three daughters, whom Danielle adored, Sophia, Alexandra, and Elizabeth. She also leaves behind many other cousins and dear friends all over the world. Danielle was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Robert and Martha (Miniter) Riotte.

Danielle graduated in 2009 from South Kingstown High School, South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Dani loved to play all kinds of sports. She was a beloved team member of the Java Madness softball team, high school Lacrosse and Field Hockey teams. She was also a valued employee of the Mews Tavern for 6 years.

After high school Danielle headed out on many adventures. Her favorite was the 2 months she traveled throughout Thailand and Cambodia, by herself, finally settling in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she eventually met her true love Jacob Gates. Danielle worked many jobs to include BJ’s restaurant, Mykonos Café and Taverna. Most recently, Danielle found her true calling working at North Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center as an activity coordinator. She loved all her residents and their family members.

29 years of life is a very short time to live on this earth. Our Dani lived one heck of life in those short years. She loved hard and fierce, she always fought for the underdog, her laughter was contagious to all that heard it. Her spirit will always be remembered as adventurous and sometimes wild. what a life, what travels, what stories…Danielle will always be remembered by her generosity, infectious positive spirt, smile, and laughter.

Danielle loved music, ALL music. The rhythm, the beat of music spoke to her and moved her no matter where she was. In the car, walking down the street, in the shower and many many other places!!

The Ocean was her first love! The warmth of the sand, the touch of the sun, and the sound of the waves gave her such peace, pleasure, and a sense of belonging to a greater power.

Later in life she fell in love with the mountains in New Mexico. They called to her and she answered. She was in amazement of their beauty as she hiked through them often with her beloved dog Cheyenne, whom she rescued shortly after she moved to NM. Danielle also loved to go horseback riding on the Mesa.

Our families would like to express our deepest thanks to all of Danielle and Bobbi’s medical teams who were so professional, compassionate, understanding and caring as they guided and supported us through this time, from those at South County Hospital who worked so hard to keep Danielle in the fight and to deliver Bobbi, to the Doctors, Nurses and multiple medical teams at Rhode Island Hospital MICU and Woman’s & Infants NICU who have watched over Danielle and Bobbi…words simply cannot express how we feel. You all are now a true part of our journey and our family forever…THANK YOU!!![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Stephanie Lynne Strickland Bloom, age 32, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center South of complications from childbirth. She delivered a healthy baby boy two days prior, Benjamin Edward Bloom.

Stephanie was born to Nadine “Dini” Vascellaro and Timothy Strickland on July 5th, 1986 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Stephanie was raised in Gainesville, FL, growing up an avid fan of the Florida Gators. She grew up a Girl Scout and played volleyball into high school before coaching traveling teams throughout college. She graduated from Eastside High School International Baccalaureate in 2004 and the University of Florida in 2007 where she was awarded a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism. Her professional career led her to Jacksonville University where she was most recently the Assistant Director of Enrollment & Advising Graduate Nursing.

Stephanie’s passion for sport and outdoor activity continued into young adulthood. She and her husband hiked Half Dome and Clouds Rest in Yosemite National Park for their honeymoon, skied in Austria and Jackson Hole, and attended many memorable Gator sporting events. Running became a passion, and she completed the Apalachicola Running for the Bay Marathon in 2010, 26.2 with Donna Breast Cancer Marathon in 2012 and New York City Marathon in 2014. Much of her enjoyment with running came from the friends and family she trained alongside.

In 2011, Stephanie married John P. Bloom, III of Lawtey, FL in Ponte Vedra, FL. Stephanie and John have been blessed with three beautiful children: Audrey Lynne Bloom, age 5, John Preston Bloom IV, age 1, and Benjamin Edward Bloom, born August 17, 2018. Stephanie’s desire to have a family was reflected in the selfless qualities characteristic of many a great mother and devoted wife. She sacrificed or curtailed many of her past passions in favor of her children, husband and family.

Her life was full of love and happiness. Stephanie had a bright future to grow into as a Mother and Wife.

Stephanie is further survived by Her parents, Nadine “Dini” and Michael P. Vascellaro, Tim and Michele Strickland; her brothers and sisters, Richard Owen, Nickolas Vascellaro, Brooke Owen, Yssa Vascellaro, Brittany Vascellaro, and Nina Gonzalez-Owen; grandparents, Joanne Kniffen Andrews and John W.
