    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Laura Michelle Snider was born November 16, 1987, in Yakima, Washington, and died from complications related to childbirth on August 13, 2022, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Laura spent her early years in Selah, Washington, and moved with her family to Sagle in the spring of 1999 and attended Sagle Elementary, Sandpoint Middle, and Sandpoint High School. She played basketball and soccer, ran track and cross-country, participated in Junior Miss, and excelled as a student. Laura was elected as the sophomore, junior, and senior class president and in 2016 organized her class’s 10-year reunion. Laura surrounded herself with people who stayed her lifelong friends.

Laura was a rare combination of quiet, yet fierce determination with a deeply loving and warm heart. Laura began her career at Serv-a-Burger during high school and continued to excel in every job she undertook. Her brother called her the quiet assassin because she had a habit of tackling difficult jobs: from buying a house or car to building a fence or starting a new job, by simply announcing what she had accomplished only after it was successfully executed. Her dad referred to her as “maddingly independent” and both her parents were filled with pride at how much she accomplished in all aspects of her life.

Laura took care of those around her. She sent cards with heartfelt messages, reached out to check on her friends and family, and she told people how much she cared about them. Laura was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

Laura passed away during the happiest period of her life. She adored her fiancé, Bryce Mort, and everyone who saw them together realized they had the good fortune of being the missing pieces to each other’s puzzles. Together they brought two daughters into the world, Mabel Grace and Hadley June. Laura loved being a mother and was the glue that held her family together.

Laura took all her determination, warmth, and love and, with Bryce, built a beautiful home in the woods where she, Bryce, and her two daughters spent a magical week together before she passed. Laura’s love for her family is the centerpiece of the home she and Bryce built for their growing family, from the carefully organized drawers in Hadley’s nursery, to the walls already hung with family pictures, to the books that Mabel has memorized after reading them time and again with her mom, to a trinket from her dear friend tucked in a kitchen drawer. Laura built a corner of the world looking over the mountains of North Idaho that showed her deep love for Bryce, her daughters, family, and dear friends.

Laura’s love will be carried forward. Her parents, Bob and Mary Snider, and her fiancé, Bryce, and will keep Laura’s memory alive for Mabel and Hadley, and her Uncle Roger and Aunt Doreen promise that Laura’s girls will always know about their mom’s authentic, loving heart. May all the love that Laura put into this world be radiated back to those grieving this unimaginable loss.

Laura is survived by her heartbroken family including her fiancé Bryce Mort, newborn daughter Hadley June, preschooler Mabel Grace, parents Robert and Mary Snider [Sandpoint], sister Bobbi Snider [Coeur d’Alene] niece Taya, nephews Isaiah and Joey, brother Richie Snider [Boise], nieces Brady and Ella, Uncle Jim and Aunt Terry Snider [Washington], Uncle Roger and Aunt Doreen Sargent [Tucson, Arizona] and Grandparents Mary Snider and Dave Koch [Tucson, Arizona].[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Jennifer Marie Krasna (Maiden Name – Matuza) passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2022 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 30 years old.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Jesse, her two beautiful sons Ty (2) and Cade (newborn), her parents Len and Kathy Matuza, brother Ryan and his wife Sarah, brother Adam and his wife Melissa, brother Sean and his wife Kiersten. Jennifer was also adored by her 6 nieces and nephews, Abby, Ethan, Hannah, Lily, Wyatt and Owen; her maternal grandfather Ken Larson; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also dearly loved by her mother and father in law, Jodi and Andy Krasna and her sister in law, Lindsay.

Born in Langhorne and raised in Morrisville, Jennifer graduated from Pennsbury High School in 2011, where she was a proud member of the 2009 SOL National Division Champion Girls Volleyball Team. After graduating from Pennsbury, she went on to study Early Grades Education at the West Chester University Honors College and obtained her Master’s Degree in Literacy from Cabrini University.

Jennifer worked at Charlestown Elementary School in Malvern, PA as a first and second grade teacher for eight years, where she helped her students develop a passion for learning. A beloved member of the Great Valley community, Jennifer touched the lives of countless families because of the love and care she showed her students each day.

Jennifer enjoyed going to the beach, reading, camping, hiking, cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams, and celebrating holidays with her extended family. Her greatest love, however, was spending time with her son, Ty, and she was very much looking forward to making more memories and watching him grow up with his little brother, Cade.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Samantha Renee Grandon (née Galloway) was born on March 21, 1991 to Karen and Barry Galloway on Elmendorf Air Force Base in Anchorage, Alaska and was a proud big sister to Dane and Max Galloway.

Samantha was a light to everyone she met. She was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend, parishioner, teacher- the list goes on.

Most importantly, Samantha was the wife of Christian Grandon and mother of their three beautiful young daughters- Lyra, Rosalia, and Lucia. Her husband Christian loved her endlessly. Their love for their girls, too, has no bounds.

Christian and Samantha met the summer after high school on July 25, 2009. Thanks to Sam’s knack for trip planning, their long-distance relationship between Illinois and Missouri flourished as they patched together charter buses, Amtrak routes and rides from friends on a college student budget.

They transferred to Truman State University to be closer, and their love grew as they finished their college years. Chris and Sam graduated together and soon after, wed on the day after the Feast of St. Valentine. Their family eventually grew to five as they welcomed their three daughters into the world over the next eight years.

Samantha had a deep love of God’s creation and always made sure the family took time to enjoy the great outdoors. She loved taking her brothers to Broemmelsiek and Klondike parks near her home in Missouri. Her love for the outdoors flourished after moving to Colorado and could often be found out on the trails with her girls. This love was nurtured by Park Ranger classes she was able to take through a scholarship. She dreamed of wearing the Park Ranger uniform someday. She would have been the best ranger in the history of our great nation.

Samantha was both a hockey fan and player. She enjoyed going to Missouri River Otters games and played several seasons with the St. Louis Cyclones girls hockey team. She always had an affinity for the Colorado Avalanche and was so full of joy watching the team celebrate their championship win this summer. Sam was also a deep lover of music – she played guitar, sang, frequently attended concerts, and even befriended members of superstar bands. She took pleasure in sharing her bevy of interests with everyone around her.

Although Samantha received treatment for the disease that was robbing her of her joy and hope, she fell victim to her battle with postpartum depression on Monday, September 26, 2022.

We share with St. Paul the firm conviction that “nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:39).

We cling tenaciously to Jesus’ promise regarding our faithful departed: “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand” (John 10:28).[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
