    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Jennifer Lynne Knarr, 34, of Bozeman, passed away on Friday March 11 at her home, due to extreme effects of postpartum psychosis. A memorial service is planned for Wednesday March 23rd at 3:00 at the Grace Bible Church in Bozeman.

Jen Southers was born June 19th, 1981 in Great Falls, MT. Jen attended high school at Great Falls High School and graduated in 1999. She worked at Montana Federal Credit Union prior to moving to Bozeman where she attended MSU Bozeman, and received her degree in Fish Wildlife Management. She began her career with Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks while working towards her degree. She was a work study student at the region 3 Wildlife Lab. She found the work fascinating and rewarding. Upon graduating from MSU, she married Mike Williams and spent some time living in the Portland area.

Jen and Mike moved back to Montana and lived in the Kalispell area; they later divorced. Jen came back to Bozeman and resumed her work at the wildlife lab before finding her true calling with FWP as an enforcement officer. She loved her work and the people she had the privilege to work with. Jen was constantly striving to learn all she could. She was given many opportunities to learn and took advantage of them, to hopefully attain her goal to become an investigator within the department.

Jen married the love of her life, Joe Knarr in 2014. They had many adventures together and enjoyed family vacations with Cooper and the dogs. One of Jen’s greatest adventures was spending time in the Liuwa Plains National Park in Zambia, South Africa, living in a tent and helping some of her close friends with a research project. Jen and Joe shared their passion for the outdoors, protecting the people, natural resources and wildlife of Montana. They were both Game Wardens. They were blessed with a beautiful baby boy in 2015, Daniel (Danny) Robert Knarr. Danny was the greatest joy in Jen’s life and in her heart.

Jen is survived by her mom, Karen Southers of Great Falls; father, Rick Southers, and stepmother Mary Ann of Port St.Lucie, FL; siblings Ricky, Randy and Jewell Southers; grandparents Verlette Eshleman of Great Falls; Bill and Dorothy Southers of Port St. Lucie Fl; aunts and uncles Tammy Eshleman of Bozeman; Sheryl and Dennis Hunking of Keizer, OR; Billy Southers of Seabrook NH; Kim Southers of West Palm Beach, FL; several cousins and great aunts and uncles.

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Amy Bartlett, 41, of Gardiner, Montana passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 6:00 P.M. at The Chapel at Mammoth Hot Springs. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 3:00 P.M. at the Gardiner High School Gymnasium.

Amy entered this world on January 26, 1975 a fighter. She was premature and weighed 3lbs 4ounces. Even at birth, Amy wanted to do things on her own terms. Her parents, Kathleen and Douglas Black, were delighted to welcome a little sister for her big brother Matthew. Amy grew up traveling with her brother and parents to Yellowstone National Park from the time she was a baby. The land, mountains, waterfalls, and wildlife were always in Amy’s DNA. They visited in the summer and in the winter hiking and snowmobiling every year.

Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Sacramento and began her adult life and career in the one place on earth she loved the most, Yellowstone National Park. She worked for the Park in a variety of jobs ranging from a Biological Science Technician, Park Ranger, Dispatcher, Law Enforcement Ranger and Public Affairs Assistant.

She married the love of her life, Jerry Bartlett, at the Chapel in Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park on July 1, 2006. It was the wedding of her dreams. She had grown up wishing to be married in the Park, in the Chapel and Amy’s dream came true. She was surrounded by family and friends and it was the most glorious day. Amy and Jerry’s family grew with the birth of Hayden Glen Bartlett on March 12, 2009 and Jackson James Bartlett on September 27, 2012. Amy’s life revolved around her boys and her family. From the many ski trips and hikes and overnight camping adventures in Yellowstone and a particular favorite, The Caboose Train in Glacier National Park, Amy was always about adventure. And she taught many others to be adventurous and to love her beautiful home of Yellowstone National Park. Amy’s artist talents were unsurpassed. Her photography, painting, sculpting, cake making and decorating skills were incomparable. Amy had an eye for beauty and loved sharing it with others. She blessed many people with her talents. Simply put, Amy gave, that is who she was.

While Amy adored her boys, she had dreamed of growing her family with the hopes of a daughter. Amy was blessed to welcome Ella Faith Kathleen Bartlett on May 7, 2016. While Amy may have earned her angel wings on May 15, 2016, we are confident she knew the greatest love a mother, wife, daughter and sister can, the love of her family. Amy know peace, and know your spirit will forever be held close in our heart[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
