    Her Story

Tiffany Denise Murley, 31, passed away Friday evening, February 3, 2023 at her home in Goodwell surrounded by her loving family.

Tiffany (Rooks) Murley was born on December 6, 1991, in Houston, Texas to Charles Edward Rooks Sr. and Tina Denise (Johnson) Rooks. Tiffany was a miracle baby from the beginning. She grew up with her younger brother, Charlie in Crosby, Texas where they enjoyed riding four wheelers, playing sports, and being outside together. She loved going on family vacations to the beach. In high school, Tiffany played softball, volleyball, and showed cattle, goats, pigs, sheep and horses. She was also active on the livestock judging team. She was a repeat grand champion with several of her animals and won many showmanship buckles. She graduated from Crosby High School in 2010.

After high school, she attended Frank Phillips College in Borger, Texas on a livestock judging scholarship. That fall she met the love of her life, Cameron Bryce Murley, at a Halloween party. She later transferred to Oklahoma Panhandle State University to be closer to Cameron and continue her livestock judging career. While in college, Tiffany worked as a student employee in the communications department at OPSU as well as Stage Department Store in Guymon. In December of 2013, Tiffany received her Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Business with a minor in Agronomy.

On March 22, 2014, Tiffany and Cameron married in Crosby, Texas surrounded by their family and friends. After their marriage, they continued to make their home in Goodwell where Tiffany worked for the accounts payable department at Seaboard Farms. In July of 2015, she began her professional career at OPSU working in the counseling office before moving to the accounts payable department the following year. She really found her niche in the accounting department and in November of 2018, she also took over the Bursar position.  In June of 2020, she was promoted to Comptroller where she remained.

On August 4, 2016, Tiffany and Cameron welcomed their first child, Paisley Denise. Paisley was Tiffany’s pride and joy. She loved reading to her, helping her with math and spelling, and just spending “girl time” together. Tiffany and Paisley shared a love of the outdoors and animals. It’s impossible to look at Paisley without seeing that same outgoing personality she inherited from her momma.

In December of 2020, Cameron and Tiffany were delighted to be expecting their second child. When Tiffany was 24 weeks pregnant, she was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Tiffany chose to make the health of her unborn baby a priority before she began the fight of her life. On May 23, 2021, Weston Dean Murley was born at the gestational age of 30 weeks. He was a miracle baby and defied all odds from the very beginning. Tiffany spent Weston’s first weeks of life receiving chemo and visiting him in the NICU. While pregnant Tiffany prayed for a blonde haired, blue eyed baby boy! She was so proud of Weston, and she loved watching him grow. His presence made her entire face light up with joy.

Tiffany loved living life to the fullest. Her favorite thing was to spend time with those she loved. Whether it was a trip to the mountains, a drive to check sprinklers with Cameron, or an evening spent loving on her two donkeys, Maybeline and Jana. Tiffany also enjoyed spending time with all of her friends. In January of 2023, she completed her Masters of Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Tiffany fought her cancer battle with courage, grace and an unwavering faith in God. She inspired countless people along the way, many of whom she never met. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, determination and a love for Jesus. Although her healing did not come on Earth, we rejoice knowing she has been made whole again in Heaven. We are all better for having had Tiffany in our lives. We know this isn’t goodbye, because we will see her again one day!

Tiffany is survived by her loving husband, Cameron, and her two beautiful children, Paisley (6) and Weston (20 months). Her mother, Tina Rooks of Crosby, TX. One brother Charlie Rooks Jr. and wife Alyssa also of Crosby, TX. Father and Mother-in-law Bobby and Lisa Murley of Mooreland. Sister-in-laws Cassity Compston and husband Russell of Woodward and Carlie Murley of Goodwell. Nieces Kyndall Baker, Annie Rooks and Aubree Rooks of Crosby, TX. And nephew and niece Rylan and Adalyn Compston of Woodward. Paternal grandmother, Bernice Rooks of Smithville, TX. Tiffany is also survived by Cameron’s maternal grandparents, Lester and Glenda Haskins of Mooreland. And paternal grandmother, Karen Shepherd of Woodward. Also left to cherish her memory are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom she loved like family.

Tiffany is preceded in death by her Dad, Charlie Rooks Sr., her maternal Granny and Pap, Marie and Thomas Johnson, her paternal grandpa, Bennie Rooks Sr., and Cameron’s paternal grandfather, David Shepherd.

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Leslie Joy Evans joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, October 7, 2010. She was born on March 23, 1982 to parents, Joy and Alan Bond.

Leslie grew up in Yukon, Oklahoma and graduated from Yukon High School in 2000 and from Southern Nazarene University in 2004 with degrees in psychology and music. Leslie was very involved in music and had a beautiful voice which she shared with others by singing in her church choirs and at weddings.

In March of 2008, Leslie met Mark Evans which began a beautiful romance. On June 6, 2009, the two married and Leslie joined Mark’s family as mother to his three children, Marli, Marcus, and Manning. They had a beautiful ceremony where they also recognized Melinda, Mark’s wife who had passed away two years earlier.

In May 2010, Leslie and Mark were thrilled to learn that she was pregnant and that excitement doubled when they discovered she was expecting twins. Marisa Bond and Mac Brodey were born on September 26, 2010 and were immediately welcomed into heaven. Though the twins spent very little time on earth, they brought much joy to the entire family, especially to Leslie and Mark.

To her parents, Leslie was their little princess. To her brother, Jay, Leslie was his fearless little sister with a head of blond curls. To her husband, Mark, she was beauty, love and joy. To Mark’s children, Leslie was the maternal touch they had been missing and a new song in their hearts. To her in-laws, Leslie was a welcome addition to the family. To Melinda’s family, she was a graceful being who fit perfectly in their lives.

Leslie was so many things to so many people, but all can agree on one thing; Leslie was easy to love. Her beautiful smile played a part but the fact is; Leslie exuded love. She loved her family with every moment. She loved her friends with every listening ear she lent. She loved music with every note she hummed. She loved animals with an amazing level of compassion. She loved children with every lesson she taught. She loved sports, especially OU football, with every cheer that escaped her lips. She loved fun with every playful comment and feisty act. And most importantly, she loved the Lord with her life-song.

Leslie was easy to love, Leslie exuded love, and to all those who miss her presence on earth, Leslie was love. We thank God for the precious gift of Leslie and rejoice in the knowledge that she is now singing praises to Him in heaven.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Mark of the home; her parents, Alan and Joy Bond of Yukon, Oklahoma; two sons, Marcus Brian Evans and Manning Bryce Evans of the home; one daughter, Marli Grace Evans of the home; one brother, Jay Bond of Oklahoma City and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.

Leslie was preceded in death by her two children, Marisa Bond Evans and Mac Brodey Evans, her maternal grandparents, Leslie and Mary Callies; her paternal grandparents, Hayden and Frankie Bond and one sister-in-law, Courtney Bond on June 24, 2010.

Marisa and Mac are survived by their father, Mark of the home; two brothers, Marcus Brian Evans and Manning Bryce Evans of the home; one sister, Marli Grace Evans of the home; maternal grandparents, Alan and Joy Bond of Yukon, Oklahoma; paternal grandparents, Gary and Sheila Evans of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Henry and Julia Watters of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; their Uncle Jay Bond of Oklahoma City; their uncle and aunt, Jason and Becky Evans of Toledo, Ohio; and their two cousins, Alex and Aaron Evans also of Toledo, Ohio; and their uncle and aunt, Mike and Nikki Watters of Shawnee.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
