    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Sara was born on October 9, 1980 at Long Beach Memorial Hospital in Long Beach, California. She was the daughter of Tom and Cyndi Ruiz. Sara was raised in California and Ohio. Always at the ready with a good joke, and a sharp wit she grew up to be quite a person who could find humor in almost any situation and she loved to laugh. While some who knew Sara might describe her as an idealist, her friends and family understood well that Sara was always in pursuit of life’s endless possibilities and opportunities available to her.

Sara was raised with three siblings. She had three sisters, Anna, Kathy, and Aimee. Sara was very accepting and supportive of her family. She was perceived as the peace maker central in her family in terms of keeping communication open between the family members. Whenever discord or tension arose within the home, Sara was typically the member who brought about resolution and harmony. These traits served Sara well in her adult life and, along with her wit, outgoing personality, and understanding of others, drew the admiration of many who knew her.

As a young girl, Sara was able to empathize and identify with a vast array of people and personality types. This quality drew her into a diverse group of friends and acquaintances. Sara was intelligent and had little trouble getting along with her peers. She was almost always the first to jump in when it came to playing games or participating in other childhood activities. Sara took part in softball. In her spare time she loved all animals. Sara had the ability to find amusement with almost any activity she and the many childhood friends she shared might discover.

During her high school years, Sara responded enthusiastically to any new project and was regularly in search of one adventure after another. She was so open to possibilities that she never really decided what she wanted to be when she grew up. Sara absorbed as much as she could from all of her teachers and was consistently able to tackle conceptual and abstract problems, using her imagination to master her assignments. Classmates considered Sara a good listener, knowing that when necessary, they could go to her to discuss just about anything. Her favorite classes in high school were culinary classes.

Sara was a very spiritual person and often had vivid dreams that were almost clairvoyant. She loved her family with all her heart and she had the biggest heart. She was generous beyond belief and would give or do anything to help her family and friends always ready to listen or give comfort.

With a talent for making acquaintances easily which in turn brought her an endless stream of friends, Sara was very sociable and could blend without effort into any social group. Assertive and outgoing, Sara was easy to know and demonstrated a deep concern for others. She always seemed aware of what was going on with people around her and throughout her life she made many, many friends. While growing up, her first and very best friends were her sisters, Aimee, Anna, and Kathy. Sara made so many friends that we couldn’t possibly name them all, but some of her best friends were Amanda, Natalie, Leah, Shawnte’, Raquel, Ryan, Victoria, Shelby, and so so many more.

Sara became engaged to Ron Zaragoza on February 14, 2016. Sara’s skill at “building bridges” played an important role in her ability to make her new family happy and bringing Ron into her large extended family. She was quite sensitive towards Ron’s needs, and so looked forward to building their lives and family together. Sara was tenderhearted and sensitive, qualities that served her well in helping to nurture her family.

Sara wanted to be a Mommy more than anything. She was so looking forward to raising her son with Daddy Ron and we know that she is caring for little Ronnie Jr. in heaven.

Because Sara retained her childhood love of life, along with Ron they loved to play video games, watch Disney and children’s movies. Sara loved her kitties, all five of them, Quincy, Bella, Gandolf, Jasmine, and Storm.

Sara Ruiz passed away on January 9, 2017 at Centennial Hills Hospital. Sara and her son Ron Jr. died together during childbirth. She is survived by her fiancé’, Ronald Zaragoza; parents, Tom and Cyndi Ruiz; sisters, Anna, Kathy, and Aimee, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services were held at Palm Northwest Mortuary. Sara was laid to rest in Palm Northwest Cemetery.

There was always a certain style and inventiveness to Sara. She was a dynamic, self-expressive person who was forever looking to celebrate the endless possibilities life had to offer. She had a knack for being clever, creative and witty, and for others, was a joy to be around. While she was often fiercely independent and sometimes stubborn, much like her Dad, she had a heart that was so kind and generous she would always put her needs second and strive to make other’s lives easier.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]
