Her Story
Amber Dawn Phillips, 20, born on February 24, 1992, daughter of Mary Phillips, sister of Elizabeth Phillips, Summer Haltom, Sarah Haltom and mother of Leland Joseph Phillips and Amber Elizabeth Phillips (named in honor of her mother), passed away Friday morning after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl who is now being treated at the Lee Memorial Health Park Medical Center.
Amber herself had been confined at Physician’s Regional for almost two weeks due to a difficult pregnancy. She was in her seventh month when she died due to cardiac arrest and massive bleeding. She may have died due to shock resulting from hemorrhage, but in essence, Amber died while giving life. Amber was so excited to have a little girl and loved her son more than life itself.
She leaves us all behind in disbelief and pure sadness. She touched the lives of everyone that knew her and we will always love and miss her.
