Her Story
With unfathomable sorrow, Lori & Phil Howard and Michelle & Rodney Pillsbury share the loss of their dear daughter, Margaret “Ellyson” Pillsbury, on February 20, 2023. Ellyson experienced a catastrophic internal bleed from an ectopic pregnancy three (3) days prior. She was fighting to recover from her injuries when she suffered a massive cerebral herniation Sunday afternoon. Ellyson was an organ donor, and it is uplifting to know that her passing has given life to others – and that is exactly what Ellyson would have wanted.
Ellyson was born in Greenville, South Carolina in 1993, and graduated from Greenville High School in 2011. She overcame many struggles and was preparing for what she believed was her most important role – being a good mother. She loved music and was an incredibly talented artist who championed the spirit of life – she loved animals and she loved nature. Her soft and kind spirit cannot be replaced.
Ellyson leaves behind Phil & Lori (mother) Howard, Michelle & Rodney (father) Pillsbury, Claire Pillsbury (sister), and step-siblings, Sarah Howard, Chris Howard, Sarah Pillsbury, and Stone Pillsbury. She also leaves her loving fiancé, Kris Johnsen of Liberty, South Carolina. The depth of her absence cannot be quantified, but her spirit will always live on in the trees and flowers freshly blooming every spring, and with the snow gently falling every winter.
