Alison Marie Lee, 29, of Hutchinson, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011, in the Hutchinson Area Hospital, as a result of complications in childbirth.

She was born Oct. 16, 1981, in Hibbing, the daughter of Robert and Jill (Wagner) Hietala. She graduated from Hibbing High School, and went on to receive her Master of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth in speech and communication disorders. She was united in marriage to Kevin Lee on June 3, 2006, in the Cedar Valley Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Alison worked at the Hutchinson Hospital and at the New Century Charter School as a speech and language pathologist. She was a member of the Minneapolis Independent Apostolic Lutheran Church, and ASHA.

Alison loved her family and was in turn loved by them. She had a strong desire to help people, and many were touched by her kind and loving spirit.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Otto Hietala; and her maternal grandparents, Marion and Eugene Wagner.

Alison is survived by her husband, Kevin; her daughter, Eleanor Alison Lee; her parents, Robert (Jill) Hietala; her parents-in-law, Mitch (Elaine) Lee; sister Amanda (Chris) Isaacs; brother Kristopher (Vanessa) Hietala; sister-in-law Melissa (Steve) Estey: paternal grandmother Flora Hietala; and four nieces, Autumn, Marija, Sloan, and Grace; all of Hibbing.
