Catherine A. Gaskins was with us from August 14th 1979 until December 21st 2016 when, due to complications in the operating room surrounding a lost pregnancy, it was her time to pass.
She leaves behind family members in many corners of the world including her mother Jenny, father Mike, her aunt Ness, her brother Rug, and her oldest sons Nathan and Daniel in South Australia where she spent the first few decades of her life. Additionally she leaves behind her two younger sons Kynto and Aizen in America and her devoted life partner Jake (BB) and their infant daughter Zoe. She will be immensely missed by everyone who knew her well.
She was a very loving and giving person, never shying away from helping anybody in need, even at times to the detriment of herself. She was a mother first and foremost. She loved all her children very much, and not a day went by that they weren’t in her thoughts. Even though she could not be with her sons as much as she wanted, she spoke well of them and often. Her life was full of stress and difficulty beyond what most people could handle, but she maintained a persevering attitude and endured all but her final struggle with resilience and tenacity. A part of her will continue to live on with her children and in our memories. We miss you SO much Catherine!
