Who She Was
Her Story
Heather Faye Wilkinson, 35, of Fernandina Beach passed away Monday, October 25, 2021.
She was born in Jacksonville but came home to Fernandina Beach and was a life-long resident. She was a member of the Fernandina Beach High School Class of 2004 and received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Campbell University in Buie’s Creek, NC.
Heather served her country as a member of the Army Reserves and served a tour of duty in Iraq in 2009. She had obtained her General Contractor’s license and recently earned her Real Estate license. Always a “powerhouse”, Heather often seemed like Superwoman. She worked extremely hard and was able to achieve much.
She liked fishing and hunting and spending time with her family. She could also be found at her children’s ballgames or working on her mini farm raising the chickens, ducks and turkeys she so enjoyed.
Heather dearly loved her family. She would be a substitute mom for her younger brothers if she needed to be, liked going on trips with her mother or being in the center of family life. She had an irrepressible spirit and would light up any room she walked into.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Shirley Faye Musgrove.
She leaves behind her soulmate, Tyler Heatwole; her newborn daughter, Finley Faye Heatwole; her daughters, Gracelyn Delaine Wilkinson and Brynlee Amelia Wilkinson; her son, Grayson Eli Heatwole; her parents, Gwen and Ronald Mixon; her brothers, Kenny R. (Katee) Turner and Travis Lee (Kara Kato) Turner; her maternal grandfather, Alton A. (Maxine) Musgrove; her nephews, Jax Leo Turner and Alton Aaron Turner as well as several extended family members.
