Jordan Marie Warwick Scott
January 22, 1989 – June 15, 2022
San Antonio, Texas
Jordan Marie Scott passed away June 15, 2022, due to complications during childbirth. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, niece, cousin and friend. She was 33.
Jordan was born on January 22, 1989, in Nampa, Idaho, to Ron and Michelle Warwick. Arriving on Superbowl Sunday undoubtedly signaled she was destined to be a sports lover and avid football fan.
Jordan was raised in Homedale, Idaho. With her childhood home just across the street from her Grandpa Darryl and Grandma Janet’s house, she forged a special relationship with them both. Her tight-knit family and adventurous spirit helped shape a life filled with what she loved – from camping to snowmobiling, trips to Silver Creek Plunge Resort and to the family cabin in Donnelly. She learned to fish with her grandpa. She spent countless hours jumping on the backyard trampoline with her brother Cory and best friend Carmen, who used to always say, “I want to be Jordan when I grow up.”
As full as Jordan’s life was, so was her heart. Everyone who knew Jordan – and even those who didn’t – could easily tell that being thoughtful, caring, compassionate, responsible and kind came naturally. A special beacon of light, Jordan brought her intelligence and talent to every experience she had. Her kindness showed through in spades as she forged the tightest of bonds with her little brother Kyle. His special needs never slowed her from including him in everything and taking care of him at every turn.
Jordan graduated from Homedale High School in 2007. During her senior year, she and her dad were fortunate enough to be able to share the experience of attending the historic 2007 Fiesta Bowl to watch her beloved Boise State beat Oklahoma. Her love for the Broncos was minted when she graduated from Boise State University in 2012.
From a very early age, Jordan worked side by side for her father at Kuna True Value, learning many valuable life skills and establishing her strong work ethic. The knowledge and confidence she gained inspired her to build many things, including a custom coffee table, blanket ladders or the newest project she found off Pinterest.
After college, Jordan and her cousin Sadie saved money for more than a year and ventured out together for a three-week backpacking trip across Europe, making memories in Paris, Amsterdam, Italy and Oktoberfest. This was the first of many trips for the duo. Together they traveled to Boise State football games in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Las Vegas and Seattle. In 2014, they traveled to Cabo San Lucas, a trip that would profoundly and positively change her life. It was here Jordan met Jabari Scott from San Antonio and was the absolute love of her life.
Jordan moved to San Antonio in 2015 to start a permanent life with Jabari. Knowing how close Jordan was to her family, Jabari proposed in 2017 on Easter Sunday in front of her entire family.
Jordan and Jabari married in May 2018, and less than six months later, were overjoyed when they found out they were going to be parents. Jaxson Everett Scott was born June 5, 2019. Jaxson was Jordan’s world; she often and adoringly referred to him as her “little broke bestie.” From Halloween costumes to homemade treats for his preschool classmates to his recent 3-REX birthday party, she left no stone unturned to make sure every detail was extra special.
Jordan balanced parenthood and work life, enjoying a career at USAA Insurance. Like everything else, Jordan embraced every responsibility and was an overachiever. She was quickly promoted several times into different roles.
In October 2021, Jordan and Jabari were ecstatic when they found out they were adding to their family. Jordan was so excited for Jaxson to step into his new role as big brother. On June 15, 2022, Kendall Jordan Scott was born.
Jordan is survived by her two precious sons Jaxson Everett and Kendall Jordan and husband Jabari of Floresville, Texas; parents Ron and Michelle Warwick of Nampa, Idaho; brothers Cory Gervais of Nampa, Idaho, and Kyle Warwick of Nampa, Idaho; maternal grandparents LaVon and Marlin Steed and Ron and Carolyn Agenbroad; paternal grandmother Janet Warwick; many loving aunts and uncles, including her Aunt Jodee Warwick, who was like her big sister; many loving cousins, including Sadie Sealey; and lifelong best friend Carmen Zufelt as well countless friends. Jordan is preceded in death by her grandfather Darryl Warwick.
Jordan’s family is so grateful for all the outpouring love from family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, trooper community and complete strangers.
