Her Story

Lizzie Gasser, age 27, of Wadsworth, formerly of Rittman and Escondido, CA, entered safely into the arms of Jesus on Sunday evening, March 29, 2020, at the Cleveland Clinic, due to complications following the birth of her daughter.

Lizzie was born on January 19, 1993, in Oceanside, CA, to Dennis and Joy (Kovacs) Fulop and married Todd Gasser on August 25, 2013, in Escondido, CA. Todd and Lizzie just welcomed their first daughter, Juniper Joy, into the world on March 14, 2020.

She graduated from Escondido Charter High School in 2011 and received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron in 2016. She worked as a Financial Analyst for the J.M. Smucker Company where she made many friends.

Lizzie was baptized in the Escondido Apostolic Christian Church in December of 2012. Upon her marriage to Todd, she moved to Ohio where she attended the Smithville Apostolic Christian Church and participated in the local Bible Study Fellowship. She was an integral part of Team 224, and rode many 200-mile bike rides to Gateway Woods Children’s Home in Leo, IN. Lizzie enjoyed sitting outside in the sun, traveling with her husband, cooking, exercising, and was always willing to lend a hand.

Surviving are her husband, Todd Gasser, of Wadsworth; daughter, Juniper Joy Gasser, of the home; parents, Dennis and Joy Fulop of Escondido, CA; in-laws, Ken and SueEllen Maibach of Marshallville; two brothers, Denny (Allison) Fulop, and Matthew Fulop, both of Escondido, CA; four sisters, Linda (Nick) Cikos of Escondido, CA, Sarah Fulop of Escondido, CA, Abigail (Robin) Karpati of Budapest, Hungary, and Natalia Fulop of Escondido, CA; three sisters-in-law, Laura Gasser of Marshallville, Leah (Joel) Landis of Rittman, and Bethany (Jon) Rufener of Rittman; nephews and nieces, Isaac Cikos, Dominic Cikos, Maddox Fulop, Addison Landis, and Samara Rufener; maternal grandfather, Gyula Kovacs of Szeged, Hungary; grandmother-in-law, Marie Gasser of Rittman; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Fulop (205482892), and Todd’s father, Gregory Gasser.
