Her Story
Molly Jo Bender Hespenheide, 40, and her unborn baby, Eli James Hespenheide, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Thursday at their home.
Molly was born Feb. 8, 1973, in East Liverpool, Ohio, daughter of Ronald S. and Sylvia Mae Porter Bender.
Molly was employed by Akron General Hospital as a clinical nurse specialist. She graduated from Edison North High School in 1991, received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Malone College in 1995, and furthered her education by receiving a masters of nursing from Kent State.
In addition to her parents, Molly and Eli are also survived by their husband and father, James W. Hespenheide, who she married July 3, 2010; one sister and aunt, Sarah (Joseph) Pelegreen of Hopedale, Ohio; one father- and mother-in-law and paternal grandparents, Fred W. and Christine A. Hespenheide of Mars; one brother-in-law and uncle, Jason Graham of Butler; one sister-in-law and aunt, Jessica (Jason) Eisenreich of Cranberry Township; and one sister-in-law and aunt, Jennifer (Josh) Brudney of Middlesex Township. Molly also leaves behind her niece and nephew, Anthony and Mikayla Pelegreen, along with several other nieces and nephews and cousins of Eli.
