Rebecca ‘Becca’ Ann Barber Meissner

Rebecca Ann Meissner (Barber), age 26, of Afton, MN, passed away from influenza unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 23 while vacationing with her husband in Florida. Rebecca was an excited expectant mother, carrying twin babies. Her family grieves, in addition to the profound loss of Rebecca, also the loss of her twin babies, Benjamin Grindle and Stella Ann Meissner.
Becca grew up in Prior Lake, MN where she was outdoors at every opportunity, hiking, canoeing and hunting. Always a talented and highly competitive athlete, Becca was well known for her optimistic attitude and determination. At Prior Lake High School, Becca lettered in softball, volleyball and band; she played infield for the University of Minnesota Gophers women’s softball team.
Becca is survived by her soulmate, best friend and adoring husband, Dave; parents, Jeff Barber, Pam (Mike) Lattery; sister, Chelsey (Chris) Henney; brother, Derek Barber; grand-parents, Bill and Jody Barber, Nancy (Bill) Carlson, Dan (Fran) O’Hara; mother and father in-laws, Mary Kay and Randy Meissner; sister in-law, Lisa (Brian) Warner; sister in-law, Amy (Bryan) Meissner Huerta; niece and nephew, Scarlett and Ashton Warner; and many other family members.
