Shelane Dawn Bryant Gaydos

Shelane was born October 28th, 1979 to her parents, Stephen and Joanne Bryant in Ft. Campbell, KY. She is a 1998 graduate of W. T. Woodson High School and received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from George Mason University and made the dean’s list her senior year in honor of her academic achievements. Her Grandfather, Jacob Nagrod, swore Shelane into the Fairfax County Police Department on February 21st, 2006.
Shelane received an Achievement Award for outstanding service as a Probation Officer, Exemplary Service to the Community Award of the Fair Oaks Police District, Team Excellence Honors, and Meritorious Awards as Detective.
In her personal life, Shelane spent countless hours volunteering at her children’s school activities, Girl Scout events, sporting events, and as her daughter’s assistant lacrosse coach.
Shelane is survived by her husband of 8 years, Brian Gaydos, three daughters, Nadia (7), Sofia (5), Olivia (2), parents Joanne and Stephen Bryant, brother Shawn Bryant, sister Sarah Bryant, grandmother Helen Nagrod, and countless Aunts, Uncles, nieces and relatives.
