Who She Was
Her Story
Sophia “Foffee/Sissy” Lynn Villagomez Norman, 22, a resident of Ethel, was taken away from us on January 24, 2026. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, niece and the best friend you could ever have.
Sophia is survived by her husband of 4 years, Chandler P. Norman, daughter, Lakelynn Grace Villagomez Norman, son, Lane Pierce Villagomez Norman, father, Kent M. Villagomez, mother, Kristen M. Benson, sisters, Jessica Nicole Villagomez, Juliana Hope Villagomez and Aubree Kate Langley, brothers, Christopher S. Villagomez, Clinton W. Villagomez and Hank Benson and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Flora B. McGuire and grandfather, Francisco G. Villagomez.
She loved taking pictures of her children and family as they were her greatest joy, her purpose, and the center of her world. She enjoyed time with her family in the outdoors but best believe she is checking that weather app.
A sudden and devastating loss like this is the one thing that we should all learn from as we should all keep our family and friends close and always be aware of those battles that we cannot see. Fight for the ones you love as some cannot fight for themselves. Severe postpartum depression and anxiety can be masked very well. Some boundaries are meant to be broken to help those in need.
