[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Sarah (Dynia) Izquierdo, age 37, beloved wife of Luis Izquierdo, passed away, after giving birth to her newborn daughter, Ayla Izquierdo, on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital.

Sarah was born in Hartford, CT, and raised in Enfield, where she graduated from Enfield High School with the Class of 2004, where she played varsity field hockey. She pursued higher education at the University of Connecticut, furthering her passion for teaching with a Masters in Education from San Diego State University.

Sarah dedicated her life to positively shaping and engaging young minds, beginning her teaching career in California and most recently working as a Special Education teacher at the Henry Barnard School in Enfield. She previously taught at Eli Whitney School, leaving an indelible mark on her students and colleagues.

Outside of the classroom, Sarah embraced the great outdoors, finding joy in hiking and the serenity of the beach. She was an avid bowler and a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and UConn sports teams. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were evident to all who knew her.

Sarah’s legacy of love continues through her family. In addition to her devoted husband, Luis, and their two children, Wyatt and newborn, Ayla, she also leaves behind her loving parents, Jill and Michael Dynia, her dear brother, Kevin Dynia, his wife, Yana and their son, Leon, her mother-in-law, Brigitte Izquierdo, sister-in-law, Veronica Izquierdo, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her deeply. Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Charlotte Soper Hatch “Carly” Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on the morning of July 19, 2025, after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl. She loved and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be incredibly missed.

Carly was born on September 20, 1992, in Nashua, NH, growing up and living there until leaving for college. Quite simply, Carly was a radiant child who grew up to be an equally radiant woman. Wherever she went, Carly made friends quickly and easily, drawing people in with her sunny smile and her easy way. The memories her friends and families have of her are filled with stories of Carly’s kindness, laughter, and warmth.

She was exceptional at just about everything she tried, much to the loving annoyance of her older sister and brother. Carly excelled in school, earning straight A’s every year, and making challenging courses like chemistry and calculus look easy. Carly was also an accomplished athlete, playing varsity basketball and softball in high school, and rugby for three years in college. She even picked up fencing during her senior year, just to give it a try. Unsurprisingly, she was great.

After earning a degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College, she moved to Omaha, NE for work, where she met Jordan Mansfield, her future husband and love of her life, on her first day of work. Anyone who ever had the pleasure of spending time with the two of them could clearly see how much they loved each other and how perfect they were together.

Over the course of their courtship and marriage, Carly and Jordan moved 15 times, sending them across the country to Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee (three separate times), South Carolina, Michigan, and Kentucky. In 2022, they finally planted roots in New Boston, NH. Together, they began renovating their farmhouse into a joy-filled home, alongside their Bernedoodle, Riley, and two cats, Max and Maya. They spent their days growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables in their garden, working on their hours, taking long walks with Riley, and loving on their kitties. Carly’s creative spirit thrived in their home as she made handmade quilts and wrote wildly good Ted Lasso fan fiction for a widespread writing community.

Carly is deeply, deeply mourned by her husband Jordan and newborn baby Penelope “Penny” Mansfield. As she was being moved to the operating room, Carly’s last words to Jordan were, “I’ll be okay. I love you and I love Penny.” She was strong for Jordan so that he could be strong for their daughter, even through the end.

She is also mourned by every single person in her family, beginning with her mother and stepfather Tracy and Charlie Hall, and her father and stepmother Bill and Peg Hatch. She leaves behind her siblings Sarah Hosig and Zander Hatch; her brother-in-law Sam Hosig; her maternal grandmother Joan Soper; her stepsiblings Laura Ogonowski, Caroline Anderson, Mary Ogonowski, Derek Hall, Kathryn Eramo and Sarah Hall; her mother-in-law Lisa Mansfield; her father-in-law James Mansfield; her brothers-and-sisters-in-law Annie and Kristian Kowal, David and Abby Mansfield, Matthew and Cristi Mansfield, Erika and Matt Sahm, and Jacob Mansfield; her nephews Brayden Hosig, Malcolm Sahm, and Archie Mansfield; her nieces Ruby Sahm, DJ Mansfield, and Olivia, Eloise, and Evelyn Eramo; and innumerable aunts, uncles, and cousins.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Dr. Betsy Smith of Elmira, New York passed away unexpectedly on August 3rd as the result of complications during delivery of her first child. She was a tenured Associate Professor of Chemistry at Elmira College and would have started her 8th year with the College this fall.

Betsy was the oldest of three daughters and was born in 1981 in Miami, FL. Betsy saw being a big sister as her most important role in life, and she was always there for her little sisters. Her family moved to Gainesville, FL, when she was 9 where she ultimately graduated from Eastside High School’s International Baccalaureate program. As a teenager, she earned her Girl Scout Gold Award and pursued academic and athletic success. She received her A.B. in Chemistry from Princeton University and her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Yale University. She returned to Princeton for Post-doctoral studies, which led to her appointment at Elmira College.

Through her collegiate and post-doc years she excelled in taekwondo, achieving her 2nd degree Black Belt. She was heavily involved in the Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference as a judge and tournament coordinator and recently initiated a taekwondo program at Elmira College. Her first athletic love was swimming, which led her to success in sprint triathlons. Recently, she participated in the Gay Games in Paris, France and Aquathlon Worlds in Odense, Denmark.

Betsy’s passion was education – her own and that of others. She loved learning and began mentoring young women in Girl Scouts at an early age. She thrived at Elmira College both in the classroom and in college administration. She was a mentor to her two younger sisters who are also both science educators. Her students were her life, and she will be missed by everyone she touched.

If you want to honor Betsy, tell your family you love them, take time to learn something new, help a friend, stand up for what is right, accept people for exactly who they are, speak your mind with intellect and compassion, and it won’t hurt to find a cat who likes to snuggle.

She is survived by her daughter Charlotte, parents, Jacquelyn Smith (New Smyrna Beach, FL) and Dale Smith (Lady Lake, FL), sister Malinda Smith (Charlottesville, VA), sister Jean Smith Ashby (DeLand, FL), brother-in-law Corey Ashby, nephew Miles Ashby, and her three cats.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”profile-links-header”]

    Her Story

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]Carolyn Virginia Tee passed unexpectedly into the presence of the Lord Jesus, apparently due to complications following childbirth, on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Waynesville, Missouri.

Carolyn, known in childhood as Carrie Steere, was born on May 15, 1986, to Tom and Susan Steere of Hornell, NY. Always bold and strong-willed, she became the first pupil in the Steere Family School. She attended Sunday School, AWANA Club and Word of Life at local churches and studied ballet and piano. She attended high school at Alfred-Almond Central School, graduating in 2004. There and at Alfred University she enjoyed serving as stage manager for theater productions and competing on the swim team. Her senior art show in 2008 featured steel-plate etchings of scenes from her childhood accompanied by blown and cast glass and bronze objects, a series of cast glass eggs with life-like bronze bird feet portraying herself and her five younger brothers, silk-screened t-shirts depicting the eggs, and a glass table setting with a sushi design, along with large trays of homemade sushi.

From age seven on, she spent many happy weeks at Camp Iroquoina, a Christian camp in Hallstead, PA, as camper, counselor, and staff member.

A family trip to the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria for Dad’s work when she was six instilled in her a love of travel. She completed training with The Airline Academy, and although she never worked in the airline industry, it served her well in other ways. Following graduation from Alfred University, she spent 2 months in Burundi helping at the Rainbow Center for abandoned babies and displaced teen girls, then served for a year as an au pair near Cologne, Germany.

Upon her return from Europe, she moved to Maryland and found a job at the Marriott Hotel in Aberdeen, where she eventually met her husband, Edward Lewis Tee, originally from Welch, West Virginia. They were married in a small private ceremony May 5, 2015 at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri, with a larger wedding celebration April 8, 2016 in Fayetteville, NC.

As the Army moved Edward to various posts, Carolyn worked in several retail positions, including with Verizon Wireless, and finally became Territory Manager for Heartland Payroll Solutions. In New York, she was active in the Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce. She was assisted by nannies who cared for her children, most notably Adriana Gaitan Seville.

She recently “retired” to fulfill her life-long dream of being a full-time homeschooling mom to children Ethan, Gemma, and Edward, and to better support Edward’s teenage daughters, Graciella at home in Waynesville and Genesis of Kenova, WV.

She enjoyed doing artwork with her children and taking them places, raising chickens, gardening, making friends and preparing meals with recipes from around the world, and researching healthy living, educational concerns, and current events.
